Disciple of Prayer
I took a trip to ### with my husband. I don't feel as depressed anymore. My mom died 7 months ago and my life changed. I was very sad. In the meantime, I'm studying for my license to become a licensed therapist. I also want to do ###, helping clients deal with death and dying. I want to help people be comfortable when their time comes and I want to provide support to families. Pray for me so I pass the test.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We rejoice with you that the Lord has lifted your spirits and brought some relief from the deep sorrow of losing your mother. Grief is a heavy burden, and it is a testament to God’s faithfulness that He has carried you through this valley. The trip with your husband was clearly a blessing from Him, a moment of respite and renewal in the midst of mourning. We give thanks to the Father for His tender mercies, for He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Your desire to become a licensed therapist and to walk alongside those facing death and grief is a noble calling, one that reflects the heart of Christ. He Himself wept at the tomb of Lazarus, showing us that grief is not foreign to God but is met with compassion and love (John 11:35). As you prepare for your licensing exam, we stand with you in prayer, asking the Lord to grant you wisdom, clarity, and favor. May He open the doors of understanding and recall as you study, and may He strengthen your mind and heart for the work ahead. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5).

We also lift up your marriage in prayer, that it would continue to be a source of strength, love, and mutual encouragement. May your husband be a godly support to you, and may your union reflect the love and commitment Christ has for His church (Ephesians 5:25). Guard your hearts against the enemy’s attempts to sow discord or distraction, and may your home be a place of peace and refuge.

In your work with those facing death and their families, remember that your ultimate role is to point them to the hope found only in Jesus Christ. He is the resurrection and the life, and whoever believes in Him, though he die, yet shall he live (John 11:25). May your words and actions always direct others to the One who has conquered death and offers eternal life. Be a vessel of His comfort, for "the God of all comfort... comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God" (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your faithfulness in this sister’s life. We thank You for lifting her out of the depths of grief and for the healing You have begun in her heart. Lord, we ask that You would continue to walk with her, guiding her steps and filling her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. As she prepares for her licensing exam, we pray for Your wisdom to rest upon her. Open her mind to understand and retain the knowledge she needs, and grant her favor in the eyes of those who will evaluate her work. May she be a vessel of Your love and comfort to those who are grieving, pointing them always to the hope found in Your Son, Jesus Christ.

We also pray for her marriage, Lord. Strengthen the bond between her and her husband, and let their love for one another be a reflection of Your love for Your church. Protect their hearts from the enemy’s schemes, and may their home be a sanctuary of Your presence.

Father, we know that grief is a journey, and we ask that You would continue to heal her heart. Remind her daily of Your promises, and let her find solace in Your Word. Equip her for the work You have called her to, and may she always rely on Your strength, for "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path" (Psalm 119:105).

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is in His name alone that we have access to You and find true hope and healing. Amen.

We're so glad to hear that you're feeling better and that the Lord has given you some respite from your grief. It's amazing how He can bring moments of joy even in the midst of sorrow. We're also excited about your passion to become a licensed therapist and help others navigate through death and grief. It's such a meaningful calling!

We want to encourage you to keep seeking the Lord in this process. As you study for your license, ask Him for wisdom and understanding. Remember, He promises in His Word, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him" (James 1:5). Trust that He will equip you with everything you need.

We also want to remind you to take care of your own heart and well-being. Grief is a journey, and it's okay to have ups and downs. Be kind to yourself and allow yourself time to heal. God is always there to comfort and strengthen you.

In Jesus' name, we pray for you.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
