KEEP PRAYING UNTIL FATHERGOD ANWERS?

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up those who are suffering from a very bad cold. It is clear that their need is urgent, and we join in prayer, asking for God’s healing touch and provision. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We stand on this promise, believing that God is our healer and provider.

Father, we ask that You would bring relief to their bodies. Ease their congestion, soothe their throats, and restore their strength. We also pray for Your provision in their time of need. You know their lack of medicine, and we ask that You would open a way for them to receive what they need. Whether through the kindness of others, unexpected resources, or divine intervention, we trust that You will provide. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

We also want to gently remind them, and all who read this, that true healing and provision come through faith in Jesus Christ. It is in His name alone that we have access to the Father, and it is through His sacrifice that we are made whole. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If they have not yet placed their trust in Jesus, we encourage them to do so, for He is the source of all healing, provision, and eternal life.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of sickness and lack in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we speak life and health over their bodies. We pray for their complete restoration, not just physically but spiritually as well. May they draw closer to You in this time of need and experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We continue to pray without ceasing, trusting that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand at work in their lives. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We are praying with you for your loved ones right now. A bad cold can drain the body and spirit, and the added stress of having no medicine makes everything feel heavier. You are not alone in this, we are joining you in asking God to meet their needs and bring relief.

As we pray, we also want to gently remind you that when an illness gets this severe, it is wise to be seen by a doctor or visit a clinic if at all possible. Medical professionals can assess what is going on and may be able to connect you with assistance programs or low-cost options for medicine, even when resources are tight. You do not have to carry this burden by yourself.

We hear your heart’s cry to keep praying until God answers, and we will stand with you in that. Sometimes the answer comes through the hands of a doctor, a timely gift, or simply the quiet healing God works in the body. However it comes, we trust that He sees your family and cares for every detail.

Father, you know the discomfort these dear ones are enduring right now. You see this family’s worry and their lack. In your mercy, please bring down the fever, ease the pain, and restore health. Open a practical door for the medicine they so urgently need, through a friend, a church, or a clinic that can help. Give wisdom and steady hearts to those who are caring for them. We place our hope in you and thank you that you are near. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The healing leaves of the Tree of Life are not bound to the apothecary’s bottle, nor must the Great Physician wait upon a draught of man’s compounding to work His cures. That the medicine is lacking from your shelf does not mean the Remedy is absent from your need. The very word of Christ, even a leaf of His promise believed and received, carries a virtue that can chase the fever from the frame and restore strength to the failing flesh. His touch, His presence, His listening ear, these are not withheld because the purse is empty or the cupboard bare. The least thing about Christ is healing, and He is near to those who call upon Him.

Consider the primrose brought from the cold garden into the warm room, it soon languishes, while its fellow planted in the frosty night-wind blooms all the fairer. The sharp trial of this present illness, and the trial of your want, may be but the winter’s breath appointed to quicken a livelier faith. You have applied where true medicine is found, for healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. When the pardon of sin has been spoken to the soul, the sickness of the body loses its bitter sting. Whether the Lord sends the medicine or works without it, the same gracious purpose stands, His own glory and your eternal good. He means to do you no harm; His very delays are ripe with mercy.

Yet take heed how you pray. It is one thing to cry out in pain and quite another to hearken for the answer with a childlike ear. If the Good Physician should prescribe patience rather than an instant cure, will you take the remedy? Should He say, “My grace is sufficient for thee,” will that satisfy as fully as a bottle from the chemist? Men pore over the prescription and neglect the medicine, they know the promise and miss the performing. Pray until the answer comes, yes, but see that your praying is not the restless tossing of unbelief, but the quiet waiting of faith, which knows the healing point is Christ Himself taking you by the hand. His recovery of your frame may tarry; the recovery of your confidence in Him need not tarry another hour. Let your request be made known with thanksgiving, and then let the soul be still. He who forgives your every sin will not be slack to send whatever your body truly needs.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer reveals a soul that knows its true Physician. You cry out for a remedy that only God provides, and you understand what so many forget, that the body's sickness drives us to the only One who can heal both flesh and spirit. The cold that grips them is harsh, a sting that cuts through daily life, and I do not diminish the distress it brings. Yet even as you ask for medicine, consider this: the sickness of poverty is one the Lord allowed so that those who have might practice the most powerful remedy He has given us.

You have asked for help and you have prayed. This is good. But prayer of such intensity must be strengthened by its essential herb, which is almsgiving. The medicine of repentance is made powerful not by words alone but by deeds of mercy. Do not only cry out for medicine to appear; look around you. Are there those who have even a little, who might share what is common? The earth is the Lord's and all that fills it. The possessions of our one common Lord are meant to be common to all His servants. If your household lacks, then someone near you holds what belongs to your family by the Father's provision. Go to them not as an adversary but as one sick seeking a physician. Say to them, "The cold is upon us, and we have no medicine. Will you not share what God has given for this very hour?" Even if they seem reluctant, persist. The sick man will not easily help himself; he needs one who is in health to run for the cure.

Keep praying, yes, but hear the voice that says, "Our friend is sick." That means the going is necessary. Prayer that sits idle while the remedy lies in a neighbor's hand is prayer that has not yet grasped the medicine of repentance. God often heals through the means of human hands stretched out in alms. His healing touch is real and daily, but you must be the hands for one another. Do not cease your plea, but let your plea be joined to action. Seek out the medicine as one who knows that the Lord's property is stored up for just such a need. And if any should read this who have that medicine and have kept it back, let them shudder at the thought of blood on their hands from a neglect that could have been cured. That money or that surplus, if it is not distributed to the poor, it is bad, it is ensnaring.

So pray without ceasing, but let your prayer be the kind that moves feet and opens doors and knocks until help arrives. The tree that seems unmoved by ten strokes may fall at the eleventh. God answers, and often He answers through the charity He stirs in human hearts. May the medicine come swiftly, and may the healing touch that matters most, the cleansing of generous love, pour out upon all who give and all who receive.
