They have a very bad Cold?

God cares about the sickness in your home, and it is right to bring the need to him urgently. The same Jesus who healed many who were sick and had authority over every kind of illness is not distant from a bad cold or from a home without medicine. Cry out to him for help, and also do what you can: rest, fluids, and ask someone nearby to help supply what is needed. Do not be ashamed to let others know the need.

The Scriptures do not promise that every illness will be healed immediately or in the way we expect. Even Paul prayed three times about a thorn in the flesh, and the answer was not removal but grace to endure. That does not mean we stop asking. It means we keep praying with open hands, trusting that God may heal quickly, may heal gradually through the body's own God-given processes, or may provide medicine through human hands. Medicine is not outside his provision. He made the natural processes that bring recovery, and he can send relief through them.

The law made provision for the cleansing of a leper, which shows that God leaves room to work even when a condition seems beyond human help. So do not put him in a box. Keep asking him to send medicine and to touch those who are sick. But also rest in this: the same Scripture that says Jesus bore our infirmities points to a Savior who cares about the body and the soul. He can work in both.

Keep praying, yes. Not because God needs to be persuaded, but because prayer keeps you close to him while you wait. Persist, but let your persistence be mixed with trust. The answer may be the medicine you asked for, a gradual recovery, or grace to care for them until the illness passes. However he answers, he is near, and he hears. Keep asking and keep trusting in Jesus' name.
