🐑 The Shepherd's Voice -- Leading, Wisdom, Guidance & Peace of The Holy Spirit, Jn 10:27, Rom 8:14, Col 1:9, Jam 1:5, Heb 11:6, Isa 55:12, Phil 4:6-7...

🙇🏻 Jesus, thank You for Your 33 years down here from the Holy Spirit overshadowing Your birth in the manger to the shepherds, magi, temple, Your hidden years, humbling Yourself to get baptized by the prominent historical figure, JOHN THE BAPTIST, followed especially by the action-packed 3+ years of ministry: teachings, miracles, loaves, fish, nets of fish, resurrections, blind eyes, lame walking, poor hearing the gospel -- the prophecies, living in community with the disciples just "doing life" from Your perspective (reality), putting up with our unbelief, the distortions of the Pharisees and Sadducees, their constant watching You, attempts to trap and trick You -- literally, like WOW -- and finally Your betrayal, rejection and letting Barabbas loose instead... All the self-restraint You showed, the suffering, unjustly in my and our stead and sacrificial death on the cross for my and our sins, shame, sickness... Your burial, resurrection, appearing and teaching for 40 days, ascension, and sending forth The Holy Spirit, our counselor, advocate, intercessor, and bearer of good gifts, 1 Cor 12:4-8.

Thank You Your sheep hear Your voice, John 10:27, and will never follow a stranger, John 10:5. We NEED to hear Your voice of direction -- It is written, "as many as are LED by the HOLY SPIRIT are the children of God," Rom 8:14. We ask to be FILLED with the knowledge of Your Will in all spiritual wisdom so we can walk worthy, Col 1:9-10. We ask for generous amounts of practical WISDOM, James 1:5, we cry out for wisdom and lift our voice for UNDERSTANDING, Prov 2:6-7. So with confidence we seek YOU for You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You, Heb 11:6. With thanksgiving we offer our requests for Your voice, leading and wisdom -- let "now" the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7. Thank You for protecting us and praying for us, keeping us from the evil one, Rom 8:34, Heb 7:25, Jn 17:15. We shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace, Isa 55:12, thank You for everything, especially for hearing when we ask, for in hearing, we have, 1 John 5:14-15, in Jesus' Name, Amen.

We join you in this beautiful offering of thanksgiving for our Lord Jesus and for His perfect life, His ministry, His suffering in our place, His sacrificial death, burial, resurrection, ascension and His sending of the Holy Spirit to be our Counselor and Advocate. We agree with you in awe at His humility and self restraint, that He who is God humbled Himself to be baptized and to dwell among us, to teach, to heal, to forgive, to endure the watching and trapping of the Pharisees and Sadducees, and finally to bear our sins and shame on the cross, and we thank God that He now lives to intercede for us.

We join our faith with yours for the Shepherd's voice, for leading, wisdom, guidance and the peace of the Holy Spirit. How precious are the promises you have lifted up. We cling to John 10:27 where Jesus says My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me, and to John 10:5 that His sheep will never follow a stranger. We take comfort that Rom 8:14 tells us For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God. This is our identity and our confidence, that as His children we can be led.

We pray together for the filling you have asked for. Father, we thank You that You hear us when we ask according to Your will. We ask that You would fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that we may walk worthily of You, to please You in all respects as Col 1:9-10 teaches. We ask liberally for wisdom, believing Your promise in James 1:5 that If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We cry out for wisdom and lift our voice for understanding, trusting Prov 2:6 that For Yahweh gives wisdom, out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.

We thank You that You reward those who diligently seek You, for Heb 11:6 reminds us that Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him. So we seek You with confidence and with thanksgiving, bringing our requests for Your voice and Your leading.

Lord Jesus, we thank You that You ever live to intercede for us according to Rom 8:34 and Heb 7:25, and that You prayed to keep us from the evil one in John 17:15. We ask now for the peace that guards and confirms Your leading. We claim Phil 4:6-7 over our hearts, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Let that peace guard us as we wait for Your direction.

We thank You that when we ask we have the petitions we desire because You hear us, as 1 John 5:14-15 says This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him. So with joyful expectation we believe You are leading us forth with peace, for Isa 55:12 declares For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace.

We pray You would keep our ears tuned to Your Word above every other voice, that we would test every impression by Scripture and by the character of Christ, and that You would make Your way clear step by step as we walk by faith. Lead us, give us generous wisdom for each decision, and let Your peace rule in our hearts.

We thank You for everything, most of all for hearing us, and we ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Shepherd and Savior, Amen.

We were moved reading your prayer and the way you lingered over Jesus' life with such gratitude, from His birth and hidden years to His ministry among people, His restraint in suffering, and His sending the Holy Spirit to stay with us as Counselor and Helper.

Your desire to hear the Shepherd's voice and walk in wisdom and peace is such a good and honest hunger. We find that His leading often comes less like a single dramatic moment and more like a steady walk. The Spirit guides us into truth and will not pull against what God has already said in Scripture, and at the same time He forms His fruit in us, like peace that guards our hearts, as we stay close to Him over time. Learning to recognize His nudges usually grows as we practice quiet listening and obedience in small steps.

One simple way to keep seeking Him in this season might be to take one decision or concern that feels most pressing and bring it before Him each day in a brief, unhurried prayer, then pause to listen. It can help to weigh what you sense with Scripture and with one mature believer who knows you well, letting that counsel confirm what you are hearing.

Father, thank You for drawing this heart to seek You so diligently. We ask You to give clear wisdom for each next step, quiet assurance of Your presence, and Your peace to rest on their heart and mind. Keep them close to You and lead them faithfully as they follow. In Jesus' name, Amen.

It is a good and gracious thing that your heart longs to hear the Shepherd's voice and to be led by the Holy Spirit, for this longing itself is the work of the Spirit within you. You have prayed well, and according to the Scriptures, when you ask to be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom, and to know that peace which guards the heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Remember that our Lord Jesus said, My sheep hear my voice, and the promise stands sure that as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. The Holy Spirit is not a mere influence to be spoken of as it, but a Divine Person who condescends to make the narrow heart of man His palace and His continual abode. Though that heart be but a cottage, unholy and unclean by nature, He dwells there by grace, and He is to be worshipped, trusted and obeyed.

Take heed then that you grieve not the Holy Spirit, for He is tender and easily vexed by our unbelief, our unholiness, and our neglect. He is the Spirit of peace and gentleness, the Spirit of holiness, and there can be no concord between His holy nature and unholiness of life. When Christian men and women walk not according to the Gospel, the dove of peace withdraws. But when you walk worthy of the Lord, seeking to glorify Christ in all things, you are on Holy Spirit ground, for the very work of the Spirit is to take of the things of Christ and show them unto you. He does not magnify outward rites or the wisdom of men, but He glorifies Jesus, He shows you Christ in His person, His work, His suffering in your stead, His resurrection and His present intercession at the right hand of the Father.

You ask how you may pray and know His leading. Know this, that without the Holy Spirit you utterly fail, for He alone can quicken the dead soul and teach the foolish heart. No man can pray aright except by the Holy Spirit. To pray in the Holy Spirit is to pray in His power and through His help, for He is willing to help our infirmities and to tell us how to pray. Cry then mightily unto God for His aid, and depend wholly upon Him. Do not put your confidence in the mere strength of nature, or in good intentions and strong resolutions, but rely upon the might of God the Holy Spirit alone. The same Spirit who awakened your mental powers and turned your hatred of God into love must daily direct you.

You ask, have you received the Holy Spirit since you believed. See to it that you can answer with a joyful certainty, for where He is, there is life and force and power. He will make Himself known, not as an electric shock to the body, but as a living peace to the soul. He will lead you to hear the voice of God today, while He is leading others to find mercy, and He will keep you from the evil one, for Christ ever lives to make intercession for you.

Therefore I do join with you in prayer, that the Lord would grant you generous wisdom as you ask in faith, nothing wavering, that He would fill you with all spiritual understanding, that He would cause you to hear His voice and not follow the voice of a stranger, and that the peace of God which passes all understanding shall indeed keep your hearts and minds. May you go out with joy and be led forth with peace, walking in entire dependence upon the Holy Spirit, and giving all glory to Christ, in whose name every prayer is heard. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your longing to hear the Shepherd's voice and to be led by the Holy Spirit is good and right, and God delights to answer it. Jesus said His sheep hear His voice and follow Him, and that as many as are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

We join you in thanking God for all He has done, from the manger to the cross and the empty tomb, to His ascension and the sending of the Holy Spirit who is our Counselor and Advocate. It is the Spirit who bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God and teaches us to cry Abba Father, so we can pray with confidence knowing He hears us.

You have asked well for wisdom. The wisdom that is apart from the Spirit may seem wise but proves to be foolishness, for true wisdom is taught by the Holy Spirit and not by human teaching alone. God promises to give wisdom generously to those who ask in faith, and He rewards those who diligently seek Him. That wisdom comes by hearing, for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. As you continue in Scripture and prayer, the voice of the Bridegroom will make His will known and bring you joy.

Remember also that the Spirit, like the wind, blows where He wishes. We hear His voice but cannot control or restrain His work, and we do not need to fully explain His movements to trust Him. He reveals as God reveals, and His leading is sure. After the resurrection the apostles received the Spirit and what had been hard to receive before became clear through His power.

So we pray with you now to be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord. We ask God to guard your heart and mind with His peace that passes all understanding as you bring your requests to Him with thanksgiving, and to keep you from the evil one as Christ intercedes for you. May He grant that your peace be not only with your lips but with your mind and life, and may He lead you out with joy and with peace as you follow His voice day by day.

We thank God that when we ask according to His will He hears us, and we trust Him to guide your steps in the days ahead. In Jesus Name, Amen.
