Beloved of All
Your hunger to hear the Shepherd's voice and to walk in His wisdom is itself evidence of His Spirit at work in you, for Jesus said His sheep hear His voice and follow Him, and those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
Thank you for lifting up such a full and Christ centered prayer. You have remembered well His life and ministry, His suffering and death in your place, His resurrection and ascension, and His sending of the Holy Spirit to be our counselor and helper. That foundation matters, because true peace and true wisdom flow from it.
Scripture presents wisdom as a voice crying out openly, not hidden. She stands in the streets and at the gates and calls to all who will listen. That call is not distant or secret. In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, so when wisdom speaks it is the Lord Himself speaking to you. To hear Him is not to chase a strange voice, but to stay close to the Shepherd you already know.
Remember that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Wisdom is the principal thing, and with all your getting, get understanding. Knowledge can give you facts, but wisdom gives you life and shows you how to walk. It is better than rubies, and nothing you could desire compares to it. Length of days is in her right hand, and in her left hand are riches and honor, and her ways are pleasantness and all her paths are peace.
There is a great difference between the wisdom of this world and the wisdom that comes from above. The wisdom of the world leads to strife and confusion, and by its wisdom the world did not know God. God has made foolish the wisdom of this world. But the wisdom that is from above is peaceable. It first brings you peace with God through the blood of Jesus shed for the forgiveness of sins, and then it brings the peace of God to guard your heart and mind. You cannot know that steady peace until you know His grace, and once you know His grace you find that He keeps in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him. That is the peace that passes understanding, which the world cannot give or explain.
You asked to be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, and to receive generous wisdom for practical decisions. God invites you to ask in exactly that way. He gives wisdom liberally to those who ask in faith, and He rewards those who diligently seek Him. As you bring your requests to Him with thanksgiving, His peace will stand guard over your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and you will be led forth with joy and peace. The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
Continue to keep your mind stayed on Christ, to listen for His voice in Scripture, and to ask for His Spirit of wisdom and understanding to guide each step. He who founded the earth by wisdom and established the heavens by understanding is able to guide your path, to make your ways pleasant, and to give life to all who walk in His wisdom. May He fill you with His wisdom, establish you in His grace, and keep you in His perfect peace as you follow the Shepherd's voice.
