The other day I spent the whole day in prayer, praying literally once every hour all day since 10:00 this morning. I prayed that on the condition that if it is truly God's will for me to accept the offer to attend the Sacramento Sheriff non-affiliate Academy beginning in August, that He provide miraculous financial blessing to allow me to cover the costs and then I did the prayers faithfully without missing an hour all day. First of all, the praise report. IMMEDIATELY after praying that very specific prayer at least once every hour for 9 hours, I got an email informing me that based on my financial aid report it has been determined that I qualify for something called the California Board of Governor's "C" Grant for tuition and fees THROUGH AMERICAN RIVER COLLEGE. So...I researched the Academy website and lo and behold, Sacramento Sheriff's Training Academy does in fact clearly state on their website that this Grant is acceptable to cover the costs of initial tuition for their Academy but ONLY IF IT IS GRANTED THROUGH AMERICAN RIVER COLLEGE! SO THAT MEANS INITIAL $1,150.00US TUITION IS PAID FOR!!! Praise God for honoring my fervent prayer throughout the day, and also as confirmation to me that I really am following HIS lead for where he wants me vocationally! My prayer request is that God will also provide funds for the costs that will not be covered by the grant: On July 2nd at Orientation--$200.00 mandatory physical fitness training gear from the Academy at that time. By Academy start in August-- $1,400.00 Mandatory uniforms and equipment from a uniform supply company in Sacramento $1,650.00 Materials fee: (handouts, binders, etc.) $900.00 to purchase ammunition from the Academy $2,350 for other fees not covered by the grant During the Academy-- The necessary funds to purchase fuel to commute to and from the Academy four times a week for the 10 months of the academy God is Good!
