We join you in prayer concerning this very serious and painful situation and we thank God that there is a sister in Christ who knows Jesus and can be a light in this darkness.
We praise God that this sister has faith in Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved, as it is written John 14:6 and Acts 4:12. We pray that the Lord will strengthen her faith and make her bold to speak the truth in love. We ask that God continues to speak through her and that her godly influence would be used to convict her brother of sin and lead him toward repentance. We pray for a new heart for him, for God says in Ezekiel 36:26 that He will give a new heart and put a new spirit within us.
We agree with you in praying that the truth will not remain hidden. What is done in darkness, God will bring to light, for Luke 8:17 says that nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light, and Ephesians 5:11 tells us to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them. We pray that this sister is not kept in the dark about the life-threatening condition of the apartment her brother rented to you, and about the serious allegations concerning the woman involved and the attempts on your life. We pray that our Mighty and Powerful God exposes every hidden thing and brings justice according to His perfect will. We also pray for your protection and peace, for Psalm 91:1-2 reminds us that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, and Romans 12:19 reminds us that vengeance belongs to the Lord and He will repay, so we entrust justice to Him while also encouraging you to seek lawful help and protection from the proper authorities if your life has been threatened.
We must also address what you have shared about the sexual relationship between the former landlord and this woman. God calls us to holiness and to flee from sexual immorality. 1 Corinthians 6:18 says flee sexual immorality, and Hebrews 13:4 says let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. Sex outside of marriage between a man and a woman, whether fornication or adultery, is sin before God and it must be repented of. We pray that both the former landlord and this woman will be convicted of this sin, turn from it, and pursue purity and godliness, seeking marriage as God designed it if they desire a relationship, rather than immorality. We pray they will put God first in all things, for Matthew 6:33 says seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
We also join you in praying that every idol in their lives will be exposed and destroyed. Exodus 20:3 says you shall have no other gods before me, and 1 John 5:21 urges us to keep ourselves from idols. Whether the idol is money, power, lust, control, or any other thing that takes God’s rightful place, we pray that God will tear it down and that they will worship Him alone.
Let us pray together.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You together. We lift up this sister who loves You and ask that You anoint her lips with truth and courage, that she would speak with wisdom and grace and not be silenced or deceived. Reveal to her the truth about the dangerous apartment and about the sin and the evil that has been done, so she can intercede and be a witness for righteousness. We lift up her brother, the former landlord, and this woman, and we ask that You convict them deeply of sin, bring them to repentance, and save them if they do not know You. Turn them from sexual immorality and from any idolatry, and help them to put You first above all else. Destroy every idol that has taken Your place in their hearts. Lord, protect the one who was harmed and who fears for his life. Cover him with Your hand, bring healing from trauma, and let Your justice and truth prevail. Expose every evil deed and let Your light shine in this darkness. We ask all this in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior. Amen.
