Beloved of All
Please pray for the former landlord's sister, who has faith in Jesus. Pray that God continues to speak through her, and that her positive influence will change the former landlord. Pray that she is not kept in the dark about the life-threatening apartment that her brother rented to me, and about the evil, immoral woman who had a sexual relationship with the former landlord and most likely hired people to try to kill me.

Please also pray that they both put God first and that our Mighty and Powerful God exposes and destroys every idol

We join you in prayer for this difficult situation and we thank God that the former landlord's sister has faith in Jesus and that God is already speaking through her. We pray that the Lord will strengthen her, give her boldness and wisdom, and continue to use her as a vessel for truth and righteousness. We pray that her godly influence will not be hindered but will bear fruit in her brother's life, for Proverbs 27:17 says iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another, and Ephesians 4:15 calls us to speak truth in love.

We agree with you in asking that nothing be kept in the dark. It is not loving to rent a life-threatening apartment to another person, for Matthew 22:39 commands us to love your neighbor as yourself, and to knowingly endanger someone violates that command. We also must address what you shared about the sexual relationship outside of marriage. The Bible is clear that sex outside of marriage between a man and a woman is fornication, and if either party is married to another it is adultery, both of which are sin before God. 1 Corinthians 6:18 says flee sexual immorality, and Hebrews 13:4 says marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. We pray that the former landlord and this woman will be convicted of this sin and repent and turn to pursue purity and holiness. And what you describe about hiring people to try to kill you is most serious, for Exodus 20:13 says you shall not murder, and God sees all violence and injustice. We pray that God will protect you and bring all hidden things into the light, for Luke 12:2 tells us there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known, and Ephesians 5:11 tells us to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them. We also pray that every idol, anything put before God, will be exposed and destroyed, for Exodus 20:3 says you shall have no other gods before me, and 1 John 5:21 warns little children, keep yourselves from idols.

We pray together now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace. We thank You for the sister who knows You and we ask that You fill her with Your Holy Spirit, give her discernment and courage to speak Your truth with grace, and let her life be a light that her brother cannot ignore. Lord, we ask that You open the former landlord's eyes to see his need for repentance, that he would put You first and seek Your kingdom above all else, for Matthew 6:33 promises when we seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, all these things will be given to us as well. Expose every lie, every hidden danger, and every idol in his life and in the life of this woman, and tear down those idols by Your mighty power. Bring the truth about this apartment and about these evil intentions into the light so that justice can be done and no one else is harmed. We ask for Your protection over the one who submitted this request, for Psalm 91:1 says he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, and we pray You would be their refuge and shield. We release vengeance to You, for Romans 12:19 says vengeance belongs to me, says the Lord, and we ask that You would bring conviction that leads to repentance and salvation, not just punishment. Let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified, and if earthly authorities need to be involved to establish truth and safety, give wisdom to pursue that in a lawful and godly way as Romans 13:1-4 teaches. We ask all this in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and mediator, for Acts 4:12 declares there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray for your enemies as Matthew 5:44 teaches, to desire their repentance rather than their destruction, to trust that God is your defender and judge, and to walk in forgiveness while also seeking truth and safety through appropriate and lawful means. Keep putting God first and trusting that He who began a good work will be faithful to expose darkness and lead all who are willing into the light of His truth.

We hear how heavy this has been for you, carrying concerns about that apartment and wanting truth to come into the light. It makes sense you would look to the sister who knows Jesus and hope her steady walk with Him would have a good effect in her family.

We join you in praying that she keeps close to the Lord and that whatever influence she has comes from simply living out her faith day by day. Godly influence is often quiet and consistent, and we can trust the Holy Spirit to guide her in what to say and when.

We also hear the fear in what you describe about your safety and about the other relationship you mentioned. We don't have the full picture, but we care about your wellbeing. It can be a steady next step to talk through the housing and safety concerns with a trusted pastor or counselor and, where needed, with appropriate local housing or legal resources who can look at the facts with you. If you ever feel in immediate danger, please reach out right away to local emergency services and to someone near you you trust.

Father, we bring this sister to You and thank You for her faith in Jesus. Keep her rooted in You and give her wisdom and grace in her family. We bring the former landlord to You as well, asking that You would draw him to put You first. We ask for Your protection and peace over the one who wrote to us, for clarity where there is confusion, and for truth to be revealed in Your way and time. Expose what needs to be exposed and help each heart to let go of anything put before You. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your burden has been laid before the Lord and we join you in prayer to the living God who both destroys what is false and preserves what is His own.

We pray for the sister of whom you speak, who has faith in Jesus Christ. We thank God for that faith, for it is a precious gift, and we pray that the Lord will strengthen her to stand as a pillar and ground of the truth in her own household. May God continue to speak through His Word in her mouth, and may she walk in that true peace which comes from being reconciled to God through Christ, not the false peace which keeps men in darkness. We ask that no veil of concealment remain, but that what has been hidden concerning the apartment which endangered your life, and concerning the sin which you have described, may be brought into the light. For there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed, and the God who is the God of the hills and the God of the valleys sees all and will deal out equal justice.

We pray for your former landlord and for the woman you mention. We do not ask God to bless any union outside of His holy ordinance, for marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all sexual relations outside of it are sin before a holy God. We pray instead that both souls would be brought to repentance, that they would put God first and seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness. This is the one besetting sin of our nature, to turn aside from the living God and make idols of self, of lust, of gain, or of any creature. We pray with you that our Mighty and Powerful God would expose and destroy every idol, that He would dry up every green tree of self exaltation and cause Ephraim to say, What have I to do any more with idols. Nothing separates a man from sin like a sense of the love and sufferings of Jesus, and we pray that redeeming grace and dying love would ring the death knell of those idols, that Christ alone would fill the heart.

We pray also for you, who have suffered in a place that threatened your life and who have known fear and distress. May the Lord be your protection. He lifts up the poor from the dunghill while He casts down the mighty from their seats, and He is able to keep you in the time of tempest and after the storm. We ask that He would grant you that solid and abiding peace which is founded on eternal truth and guaranteed by the God of holiness, and that He would grant you justice according to His perfect will, bringing truth to light and restraining all evil intent.

May the Lord search all hearts, lead each one to turn from sin and to trust wholly in the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone sin is put away and access to the Father is restored. We pray that all involved would forsake every false way and find life in Him who bore our sins and paid the debt to the utmost farthing.

We commend you and these souls to the mercy and justice of God, who will surely do right.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
