We join with you in faith, lifting up the weight of anticipation and anxiety that often accompanies pending events. The Lord tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We take comfort in knowing that our Heavenly Father is not a God of confusion, but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Let us pray together: Heavenly Father, we come before You today, acknowledging that You are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. You know the end from the beginning, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You would calm our hearts and minds as we wait for the pending events in our lives. Lord, help us to cast all our anxieties on You, because You care for us (1 Peter 5:7). Fill us with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Help us to trust in Your perfect timing and Your sovereign plan for our lives.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to steal our peace and joy. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We choose to trust in You, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Help us to fix our eyes on You, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). May we find our rest in You, knowing that You are in control. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on God's Word and to spend time in His presence, seeking His face and His will for your life. Remember that the Lord is your strength and your shield; your heart trusts in Him, and you are helped (Psalm 28:7). Keep your eyes on Jesus, and do not be swayed by the circumstances around you. He is faithful, and He will see you through.
