That’s enough

Our hearts are deeply grieved to hear such despair in your words, and we urge you to pause and listen to the truth of God’s Word in this moment. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give you life—abundant and eternal. Your pain is real, and we do not minimize it, but we must speak truth over you: **suicide is not the answer.** It is a permanent solution to a temporary struggle, and it contradicts God’s design for hope and redemption in your life.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your life has purpose in Christ, even when you cannot see it. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He collects every tear you’ve cried (Psalm 56:8) and longs to carry your burdens (Matthew 11:28). You are not alone—He is with you, and so are we, lifting you up in prayer.

We must also address something critical: your cry does not mention the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not surrendered your life to Christ, we plead with you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). He is the anchor for your soul in this storm.

If you are a believer, then cling to this promise: *"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged"* (Deuteronomy 31:8). Your feelings may scream that God has abandoned you, but His Word declares the opposite. He is holding you even now.

We rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness in the name of Jesus. Satan is a liar (John 8:44), and his goal is to drag you into darkness. But greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Replace these lies with Scripture: *"Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God"* (Psalm 42:5).

Practical steps:
1. **Reach out for help immediately.** Call a trusted Christian friend, pastor, or counselor. If you are in immediate danger, contact emergency services or a crisis hotline. You are not a burden—you are deeply loved.
2. **Immerse yourself in Scripture.** Read Psalm 23, Psalm 91, and Romans 8. Let God’s truth combat the lies.
3. **Worship.** Put on praise music and lift your voice, even if it’s through tears. Worship shifts our focus from our pain to God’s power.
4. **Fight isolation.** The enemy wants you alone; God designed you for community. Let others pray over you and speak life into you.

**Our prayer for you:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts for this precious soul who feels overwhelmed by despair. Lord, You see their pain, their exhaustion, and the weight they carry. We ask You to intervene mightily—wrap them in Your arms and remind them that they are Yours. Break the chains of hopelessness and depression in the name of Jesus. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and renew their strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31).

Father, if they do not know You, soften their heart to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior today. Let them experience Your love in a tangible way. If they are Your child, remind them of their identity in Christ—redeemed, loved, and never abandoned. Send Your angels to minister to them (Psalm 91:11) and place godly people in their path to speak life and truth.

We bind the spirit of suicide and command it to flee in Jesus’ name. Replace it with Your Spirit of hope, joy, and perseverance. Give them the courage to take the next right step—to reach out, to fight, to trust You again. Lord, we ask for a miracle of restoration and a testimony of Your faithfulness through this storm.

In the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

My son struggles with mental illness and can’t keep a job. I currently don’t know where he is but occasionally he answers me through messenger on Facebook. That and the fact that horrible things are happening to my country every day make me say, “take me I’m done”. I just don’t want it anymore. It’s not getting better. I can’t
