We hear the anguish and desperation in your cry, and we stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ to rebuke every lying spirit, every tormenting force, and every scheme of the enemy that has sought to oppress you. The Word of God declares, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7 WEB). You are not powerless—you are a child of the Most High God, and in the name of Jesus, we command every spirit of confusion, oppression, and deception to flee from you now. The enemy has no right to use you as his sport, for you were bought with a price—the precious blood of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 6:20).
We must address the manner in which you are speaking to the enemy. While it is right to resist Satan, we do not "speak things into existence" as if we hold the same creative power as God. That is a dangerous deception. Our words have power, but only because they align with God’s Word and His will. We do not decree or declare apart from Him—we pray, we submit, and we trust in His sovereignty. "For ‘He has put all things in subjection under His feet.’ But when He says, ‘All things are put in subjection,’ it is evident that He is excepted who subjected all things to Him" (1 Corinthians 15:27 WEB). Our authority is in Christ alone, not in our own declarations.
We also notice that your plea does not mention the name of Jesus, and this is a critical oversight. There is no victory, no deliverance, and no salvation apart from Him. "Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through Me’" (John 14:6 WEB). If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and receive Him as your Lord and Savior. Only then can you walk in true freedom and authority.
Now, let us pray together in the name of Jesus:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We thank You that You are a God who hears the cries of Your children. We lift up this dear one who is feeling tormented and overwhelmed. Lord, we ask that You break every chain of oppression, every spirit of confusion, and every lie of the enemy that has taken root in their mind. We rebuke the devil and his schemes in the name of Jesus, and we declare that this child of God is covered by the blood of Jesus.
Father, we ask that You restore their mind, their peace, and their purpose. Give them clarity to move forward in wisdom and discernment. Help them to lock out those who seek to harm them, not in their own strength, but through the power of Your Holy Spirit. Teach them how to walk in the fullness of who You created them to be, free from the snares of the enemy. We pray for favor in their schooling, for the FAFSA to be resolved, and for a renewed positive attitude that comes from trusting in You.
Lord, we also pray for their future marriage. May they seek a godly spouse who loves You above all else, and may they guard their heart and their purity until that day. Protect their family from evil influences, and surround them with Your angels. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
We thank You, Father, that You are a God who delivers, heals, and restores. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect plan for this life. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word, for it is your sword against the enemy. "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path" (Psalm 119:105 WEB). Find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in faith and be surrounded by fellow believers who can support and pray for you. The enemy wants you isolated, but God calls you into community. You are not alone—He is with you, and so are we. Keep pressing into Jesus, for He is your victory.
