Beloved of All
Your thanksgiving is precious and it pleases the Lord to hear it. To call Him Abba Father and to thank Him for mercy even when you forget to pray shows you understand something deep about His grace. He does not forget you. His care for you does not rise and fall with your perfect faithfulness, because you are His child by adoption through faith in Jesus Christ.
Scripture teaches that in Christ God has already blessed His people with every spiritual blessing. That includes being chosen in love before the world began, being redeemed through the blood of Jesus, being accepted as His own, and being given an inheritance that cannot be lost. You receive these blessings not because you have earned them by keeping a perfect record, but because you have believed in what Jesus has done for you. The promise God made to bless through His Son still stands, and no failure on your part can cancel that covenant. That is why you can still know His mercy even on the days you forget to pray. Like a young heir who already owns an inheritance but is still growing up under care, you are already His, and He is faithfully watching over you, guarding and guiding you until you fully enter all He has prepared.
That same faithful God is the one who taught His people about rest and restoration. He proclaimed liberty and the return of every person to his family and his inheritance, the canceling of debts and a time of celebration and rest. He also promised that if His people trusted and obeyed Him, He would provide so abundantly beforehand that they would have enough to carry them through the seasons of rest. He is still that Provider. He knows how to give you what you need for each day and to carry you from one season to the next.
So your prayer for the remaining months of this year and for the year ahead is right and good. I join you in praying that the Lord will lead you and your family day by day, that you will end this year well in His peace and begin the new year with joy, love, laughter and His heavenly provision. May you experience His face shining upon you, His way made known in your home, and His blessings overtaking you as you continue to walk with Him by faith. May your first response to every blessing, large and small, continue to be what it is today, a thankful heart offered back to Him.
Father, thank You for this child of Yours who is grateful for Your mercy. Thank You that You never forget or forsake Your own. Thank You for adopting this one into Your family through Jesus and for pouring out every spiritual blessing in Him. Lead this dear one and the whole family through these remaining months. Guard them, guide them, provide for them, and let Your peace rest upon their home. Let them finish this year with thanksgiving and enter the new year with joy, peace, love and laughter, rejoicing in the good gifts that come from Your hand. Help them to keep hearing Your voice and following Your ways, and to keep giving thanks for Your goodness. In the name of Jesus, amen.
