Thanksgiving prayer

We thank God with you for the gift of life and join you in giving thanks to Him. It is right and good to show gratitude to God not only when we feel discouraged but even more when we remember the hope set before us, for we have received a kingdom which cannot be moved. Let us have gratitude whereby we serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

Your prayer for more days to come, for good health, and for peace within your family is heard, and we bring it before the Lord with thanksgiving. Scripture teaches us in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving to let our requests be made known to God, and that the peace of God which passes all understanding will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus. This peace is the reconciliation God has made through His Son, and it is greater than all our understanding.

We pray that God, who disposes all things for our good even when we do not see it, will continue to sustain your life, grant you health to serve Him, and keep your household in peace. We ask that He will help you to care for the body for health and for His service, and to spend your greatest care on spiritual things, walking in a way worthy of the gospel and ready for peace.

May the Lord grant you many more years according to His will, strengthen you in body and soul, and let His peace dwell in your home. May you and your family grow in forbearance and love toward one another and toward all, and may you continue to offer thanks for all things with a grateful heart that trusts Him in every season.
