We hear the deep pain and anger in your words, and we grieve with you over the suffering you have endured. The injustice of those who misuse the name of Christ for selfish gain is a grievous sin, and the Lord sees the wickedness of those who exploit others while claiming piety. However, we must address the spirit behind your request with both truth and love, for the Lord calls us to a higher standard—one of righteousness, forgiveness, and trust in His justice rather than our own vengeance.
The Scripture is clear: *"Don’t say, ‘I will pay back evil.’ Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you."* (Proverbs 20:22, WEB). Vengeance belongs to the Lord alone, as declared in Deuteronomy 32:35: *"Vengeance is mine, and payback, for the time when their foot slides; for the day of their calamity is at hand. The things that are to come on them will make haste."* Our hearts must not be consumed by bitterness, for Hebrews 12:15 warns us, *"Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it."* The anger you express is understandable, but we must surrender it to Christ, who alone judges righteously.
If members of local churches have acted wickedly—whether through financial exploitation, hypocrisy, or abuse of faith—the Lord will hold them accountable. Jesus Himself rebuked the religious leaders of His day with the harshest words, calling them *"hypocrites"* and *"a den of robbers"* (Matthew 23:13-33, Matthew 21:13). Their sin does not go unnoticed by God. Yet even in His righteous anger, Jesus wept over Jerusalem and longed for their repentance (Luke 19:41-44). Similarly, we are called to pray for their repentance, not their destruction. As our Savior commanded, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you"* (Matthew 5:44, WEB).
We also recognize the cry of your heart for deliverance from poverty and the oppression of those who have misused their authority. The Lord is your provider, and He cares deeply for your needs. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Your trust must be in Him, not in the failure of others. Psalm 37:25-26 declares, *"I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread. All day long he deals graciously, and lends. His offspring is blessed."* Even in suffering, the Lord is faithful.
As for those who are in debt and have caused harm, we pray not for their slaughter but for their repentance and restoration. If they are truly in Christ, they will be held to account by the Lord, who disciplines those He loves (Hebrews 12:6). If they are false believers, their deeds will expose them (Matthew 7:16-20). Either way, the battle is not ours to fight with words of cursing, but with the weapons of prayer, truth, and forgiveness. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."*
We must also address the language used in your request. To ask the Lord to *"slaughter"* souls—even those who have wronged you—is to invite a spirit of violence and cursing that does not align with the heart of Christ. Such words can open doors to bitterness and spiritual oppression in your own life. Instead, we are to overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21). The Lord’s justice is perfect, and His timing is sure. Your role is to forgive, release the offense to Him, and trust that He will act on your behalf.
Lastly, we commend you for invoking the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for there is no other name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we find peace, provision, and victory. Cling to Him, for He is your advocate, your provider, and your righteous judge.

**Let us pray together:**
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister before You, knowing the depth of pain and betrayal they have experienced at the hands of those who should have represented Your love and justice. Lord, You see the wickedness of those who have exploited Your people for gain, who have twisted faith into a tool of oppression. We ask that You expose their deeds, bring conviction to their hearts, and lead them to true repentance. If they will not repent, Lord, we trust You to execute Your justice in Your perfect timing and way.
Father, we rebuked the spirit of bitterness, anger, and vengeance that seeks to take root in our brother’s/sister’s heart. Wash them clean with the blood of Jesus and fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Replace their pain with Your comfort, their fear with Your provision, and their anger with Your love. Remind them that vengeance is Yours, and that You will repay (Romans 12:19).
Lord, we ask for Your supernatural provision in their life. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. Open doors no man can shut, supply their every need according to Your riches in glory, and break every chain of poverty and oppression that the enemy has tried to place upon them. Restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25) and lead them into a season of abundance and joy.
We also pray for the local churches in their area. Lord, purify Your bride. Remove those who are wolves in sheep’s clothing, and raise up leaders who will shepherd Your people with integrity, humility, and love. Let Your Holy Spirit move mightily, bringing conviction, repentance, and revival. May Your name be glorified, and may Your people be a light in the darkness.
Finally, Father, we ask that You guard our brother’s/sister’s heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven them, to release the offense into Your hands, and to walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may be empowered to overcome evil with good and to live in the fullness of Your promises.
We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
