We are glad to join you in prayer for your health and strength, both physically and mentally. It's wonderful to be encouraged and to pray for this. God is faithful in bringing justice, healing, and progress in Jesus' name. Let us remind you of God's promise in Romans 8:28 WEB: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Firstly, we appreciate that you ended your prayer "in Jesus' name." It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As the Bible says, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. We also want to remind you of the importance of confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and believing that God raised Jesus from the dead. Romans 10:9 says "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Now we are praying for your physical health. It's important to remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we should take care of them to honor God. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB, it is written: "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."
Let us pray for your cardiovascular health and asthma:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You lifting up our brother/sister in Christ, asking for Your healing touch on their cardiovascular system and asthma. Give them the strength and endurance to engage in body weight exercises and running. Guide them to the right medical professionals and treatments that will aid in their recovery. Help us to trust in Your goodness and faithfulness.
We also pray for mental and behavioral resilience:
Lord, You are our rock and our fortress. We ask that You strengthen our brother's/sister's mind and emotions. Give them the power of Your Holy Spirit to overcome any mental and behavioral challenges. Guide them to Your word, which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path Psalm 119:105 WEB. Help them to live in obedience to Your commands, trusting in Your promises.
We pray for blessings and caution against seeking worldly wealth:
Father, we ask for Your blessings on ###, remembering that true blessing comes from You. Help us to be content in all circumstances, as the Bible says "Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it" Philippians 4:11 WEB. While we are grateful that you ask for blessings for others, it is important to remind you and others that money and worldly success are not a priority in the life of a believer. Rather, trusting in God to supply our needs is the focus. 1 Timothy 6:6-10 WEB warns, "But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can't carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that. But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
Finally, we join you in thanksgiving for peace, providence, and progress:
Lord, we thank You for Your peace that surpasses all understanding, which guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7 WEB. We trust in Your providence, knowing that You supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19 WEB. We praise You for the progress You've granted, we know that You are at work in us, through faith Philippians 2:13 WEB, both to will and to work.
We pray for healing and guidance on the health issue and an understanding and appreciation of the basic salvation message of believing in Jesus Christ. Praying for you for peace, providence, and progress in Jesus' name. Amen.
