Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your thanksgiving is good and right, and we join you in giving thanks to God for His help today. Scripture teaches us to make our requests known to God with thanksgiving, and to begin everything with gratitude, and your prayer does this beautifully. Thanksgiving for one good day can grow into thanksgiving for a whole life, because God is the one who has fed and kept you from your youth up, and when we remember that, we can be freed from anxious care and trust Him for each day as it comes.
We thank God with you for the man on the prayer line who listened and prayed with you. When believers come together and pray out loud, God hears, and as you have seen, He answers. Keep that perseverance in prayer. The Lord honors those who keep coming to Him, like the widow who kept asking and the friend who knocked at midnight, and He hears every prayer that is offered in the name of Jesus Christ, your Lord and Savior.
We also thank God for your Blue Violet flower and for her faithful prayers for you. It is a gift to have someone who does not give up but continues to intercede.
We will pray for you as you return to work tomorrow, that God would give you diligence and focus to complete your projects and proposals correctly and on time, and to do all your work well for His glory. We pray for your wife and your adult children, and for your coworkers, your customers and your bosses, that God would bless your home and your workplace with peace, kindness and honesty. Taking life one day at a time is wisdom, trusting that God will supply what each day needs and that His grace is sufficient for today.
May the Lord keep you in His care, strengthen you to continue in prayer at all seasons, and cause your thanksgiving to rise before His throne. We praise Him for His unspeakable gift in Jesus Christ.
Father, we thank You for this brother and for the better day You gave him. Continue to sustain him, his wife and his children, and all those he works with. Give him diligence in his work, peace in his heart, and perseverance in prayer, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
