Dear God thank you for helping me sleep better last night. Please soften my heart especially when my wife drink's too much alcohol and she becomes moody and angry at me. Please allow me to forgive her like I ask you to forgive me. Please remove the pain in my left arm and elbow and my hand. I will call my doctor's office today for an appointment to be seen and heard from to get help. Please help me get my projects and proposals done correctly and on time today. Please continue to soften the hearts of my bosses and my coworkers and my customers and especially my wife. I'm sorry that I keep asking you for the same prayers many times every day. I know that you are helping me so please forgive me for asking you to help me so many times. Please help the special kind of folks that have been and are praying for me and my family. Let's all have a good day today! Amen 🙏

We rejoice with you and thank God with you for the better sleep He gave you last night, for He gives sleep to his beloved Psalm 127:2 and we are called to in everything give thanks 1 Thessalonians 5:18. We are grateful that you came before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we have access to God and are saved.

We hear your heart for your marriage and your desire to be soft hearted and forgiving when your wife has had too much alcohol and becomes moody and angry toward you. God honors your commitment to your wife and your desire to forgive as you have been forgiven. As it is written be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32. At the same time scripture is clear that drunkenness does not honor God, for wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise Proverbs 20:1 and do not be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit Ephesians 5:18. We pray for your wife with love and concern, that the Lord would convict her heart, deliver her from any dependence on alcohol, and soften her heart toward you and toward Him. We pray that He will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you Ezekiel 36:26 so you can respond with patience, love and truth even in difficult moments, and that you can love your wife as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it Ephesians 5:25. We encourage you to continue to speak the truth in love to her about how the drinking affects you and your marriage, to set healthy and loving boundaries, and to seek wise godly counsel together, perhaps with a pastor or trusted Christian counselor, so that she can find help and accountability and your marriage can be strengthened.

We also lift up the pain in your left arm and elbow and hand. We thank you for being a good steward of the body God gave you by calling your doctor to be seen and heard and to get help. We pray for healing and wisdom for your doctors, for He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3.

We pray for your work, for your projects and proposals that you would do them correctly and on time, for whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23. We pray that God will continue to soften the hearts of your bosses and coworkers and customers, and give you favor and peace in that place.

Please do not apologize for bringing the same requests to God many times every day. He invites us to pray without ceasing 1 Thessalonians 5:17 and He told us that men ought always to pray, and not to faint Luke 18:1. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6. Your persistence is not a burden to Him, it is faith, and He delights to hear your voice again and again.

We pray together now for you and your family.

Father in heaven, we thank You in the name of Jesus Christ for Your mercy and for the rest You gave our brother last night. We ask You to soften his heart and fill him with Your Spirit so he can forgive his wife freely as You have forgiven him, and to soften her heart as well and deliver her from drinking too much. Bring conviction, healing and peace into their marriage and draw them closer to each other and to You. Touch his left arm and elbow and hand, remove the pain, guide his doctors and grant complete healing according to Your will. Give him clarity, diligence and grace to complete his projects and proposals correctly and on time, and let Your favor rest on his work and on his relationships with his bosses, coworkers and customers. Forgive us where we fail and help us to keep coming boldly to Your throne of grace. Bless the faithful ones who have been praying for him and his family and let all of us have a good day walking in Your will. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.

We're thankful you shared this update with us. Hearing that you slept better last night is encouraging, and we join you in thanking God for that gift.

We hear how much you want to keep a soft heart toward your wife when drinking leaves her moody and angry, and how sincerely you want to forgive as you have been forgiven. That desire is good and honest. In our experience forgiveness often begins as a decision to let go of getting even and to treat the other person with care, while the deeper emotions like resentment or hurt take longer to quiet. So if those feelings rise again it does not mean your decision failed. It just means your heart is still catching up, and it is okay to keep bringing that to God as often as you need. He is not wearied by your repeated prayers, and you do not need to apologize for coming back to Him.

We are glad you plan to call your doctor today about the pain in your arm, elbow and hand. That is a wise next step and we encourage you to keep that appointment and let the doctor hear fully what you are experiencing, alongside your prayers for healing.

We are also praying for your work today, for clarity and steadiness as you finish projects and proposals, and for grace in your relationships with bosses, coworkers, customers and your wife. We remember with gratitude those who have been praying for you and your family.

Father, we thank You for hearing us again and again. Soften our brother's heart and give him patience and wisdom at home and at work. Bring relief and clear guidance as he sees his doctor, guard his marriage, and draw both husband and wife toward Your peace. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Giving thanks that you were able to sleep better last night. Praying that your day at work goes smoothly. Praying that the pain in your left arm, elbow and hand will subside and quite possibly the doctor can help alleviate the discomfort by finding a simple solution. Also, praying that your wife’s alcohol use diminishes. Please try communicating with your wife during her sober moments, letting her know your feelings and concerns. Try planning “date” nights that are alcohol free, hopefully, she is willing to participate. This may take some time, patience and many attempts, but Don’t Give Up. Remember, sometimes it is Moment by Moment.
Our Lord wants us to have an ongoing relationship with Him, not to worry about praying to Him with the same prayer requests, it is what you need.
Standing by you and praying for you, my friend, and may you have a pleasant day - All in the name of Jesus.

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in giving thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for His mercies to you, even for the gift of better sleep last night, for every good gift comes from His hand.

We thank God for the tender conscience He has given you, that you desire a soft heart toward your wife and that you would forgive as you have been forgiven. This is the very work of grace. Remember what the Scripture says, He will abundantly pardon, for as high as the heavens are above the earth, so are His ways higher than your ways. Our God is a great forgiver, wonderful when He takes to pardoning through the bleeding Sacrifice, and He has made His love known to us in Christ. When we have obtained such mercy we are called to show it in our own household. The marriage bond is of the very essence of unity, where husband and wife become one. The husband's love to his spouse is something special and particular, and stands quite alone, for He has made a household whereof the two are companion parts. Christ loved the Church and gave Himself for her, and that love is our pattern. It is cemented by mutual love and is shown in patient, faithful, forgiving deeds. To love your wife in her weakness, to seek her good when she is moody and angry, and to plead for her heart to be softened is to walk in the steps of the Bridegroom who loved us when we were yet unlovely.

We do not excuse drunkenness, for sobriety is the calling of every believer and the home is to be kept in peace and holiness, but we do urge you to continue in that Christlike love which covers and which seeks restoration. Pray for your wife, speak to her with gentleness and truth when she is sober, and seek wise and godly counsel together if her drinking continues to bring strife. A soft answer and a forgiving spirit will do far more than anger, for we ourselves forgive and yet feel some return of anger, we chew over the old offense, but God forgives fully and bids us to do likewise through His strength.

We will pray with you for the pain in your left arm and elbow and hand, and we commend your purpose to call your doctor today to be seen and heard and to get help. The Lord often heals through the means He has provided, and to seek care is wise and right. We will pray also for your daily work, that God would give you diligence and clarity to finish your projects and proposals correctly and on time, and that He would continue to soften the hearts of your bosses and coworkers and customers, giving you favor and a quiet spirit before them.

Do not be discouraged because you find yourself bringing the same prayers many times every day, and do not think you must apologize for your persistence. Our Father delights to hear the voice of His children. He is not wearied by our asking, and He invites us to cast all our care upon Him. Far better is the spirit which sings, O God, I will praise You, for though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away and You comfort me. Bring your petitions again and again, with thanksgiving.

And we join you in praying for those special kind folks who have been praying for you and your family, that the Lord would bless them and return their kindness with His own riches of grace.

Let us pray together.

O gracious Father, we thank You for Your mercies renewed this morning and for the rest You gave to Your servant. We ask You to soften his heart and the heart of his wife, to teach him to forgive as he has been abundantly forgiven in Christ, and to love his wife as Christ loves His Church. Deliver her from all bondage to strong drink and clothe their home with peace. Lay Your healing hand upon his arm and hand, guide the physician and grant relief. Give him skill and steadiness in his labor this day, and let favor rest upon him before those in authority over him and all with whom he labors. Hear his many prayers and perfect that which concerns him, for Your mercy endures forever. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior we ask it. Amen.

May the Holy Spirit sweetly open to you the glories of forgiving grace and cause you to exult in the riches of His grace, and may you walk this day in peace, forgiven and forgiving.
