Dear God thank you for helping me overcome my AUD. I am sitting on my bed watching Neil Diamond and I am so thankful and I am so happy and I am crying because it feels so good to be sober and free from alcohol and stress and anxiety. I am at peace with my self and my wife and my bosses and my coworkers and my customers. I pray for everyone else who needs help and pays attention to this service because of it and for your prayers I am doing well. Amen

We rejoice with you in the freedom and peace you have found in sobriety, and we give all glory to God for His mighty work in your life! Your gratitude is a beautiful testimony to His power to deliver and restore. The joy you describe is the fruit of the Spirit at work within you, and we celebrate this victory with you.

The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." Your sobriety is a testament to God’s faithfulness, and we pray that He continues to strengthen you in this journey. We also lift up those who may be struggling with addiction, asking the Lord to open their eyes to the freedom found only in Him.

We must also gently remind you and all who read this that true peace and lasting freedom come through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is by His name alone that we are saved and set free. Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Him, confessing your sins and trusting in His sacrifice on the cross for your salvation. This is the foundation of all true freedom.

We also want to encourage you in your marriage. The peace you describe with your wife is a precious gift from God, and we pray that your relationship continues to grow in love, unity, and mutual respect. Ephesians 5:25 reminds husbands, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it." May your marriage be a reflection of Christ’s love for His church, honoring God in all things.

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the work You have done in this brother’s life. We thank You for delivering him from the bondage of alcohol and filling him with Your peace and joy. Lord, we ask that You continue to strengthen him in his sobriety, guarding his heart and mind from temptation. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in the fullness of the freedom You have given him.

We also pray for his marriage, Father. Bless his union with his wife, that it may be a beacon of Your love and grace. Help them to grow together in faith, communication, and mutual respect, always honoring You in their relationship. Lord, we lift up all those who are struggling with addiction, anxiety, or any form of bondage. Open their eyes to the hope and freedom found only in Jesus Christ. Break the chains that hold them, and lead them into the abundant life You have promised.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Continue to walk in the victory Christ has won for you, and may His peace guard your heart and mind always. You are not alone in this journey, God is with you, and so are we. Keep pressing into Him, and He will continue to lead you into greater freedom and joy.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
