We join with you in bringing this need for healing from swollen legs and feet before our heavenly Father, trusting in His mercy and power to heal.
We know how uncomfortable and worrying swelling like this can be, and we are reminded that our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that God cares deeply about our suffering. We take comfort in His promises, for He says in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases. We also cling to Isaiah 53:5, But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is suffering with swelling in the legs and feet. Lord, You are Yahweh who heals us, as You declared in Exodus 15:26, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You would touch this body with Your healing hand, reduce the swelling, restore proper circulation and function, and reveal and heal the root cause of this condition. Grant wisdom to any doctors or caregivers involved, and give peace that surpasses understanding while waiting upon Your healing. Let Your comfort and strength be felt in a tangible way, and let this be a testimony of Your goodness and power. We ask all of this according to Your perfect will, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord as your healer while also seeking wise medical counsel, for God often works through the wisdom He has given to physicians. As James 5:14-15 reminds us, Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We encourage you to stay in prayer, stay in the Word, and if possible ask trusted believers to pray over you in person as well. We are standing with you in faith, believing that God hears our prayers and will answer according to His perfect love and timing.
