Let us come together in prayer for your son as he undergoes major surgery today. We stand in agreement, believing that God is ultimately in control and that His will is for your son to be healed and made whole.
Firstly, we pray for the medical team performing the surgery. We ask that God guides their hands and grants them wisdom and skill as they plate and pin his leg back together.
Lord, You said in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds," and we believe that You are also able to bind up physical wounds. We pray for complete healing for your son, and for effective pain management throughout his recovery process.
We also lift up your son's relationships and friendships. We pray that God surrounds him with people who will support and encourage him both physically and mentally during this time. We pray for godly friends who will point him to Jesus and help him grow spiritually. We pray also that the friends will be those that help him pursue Christlikeness and toward godly relationships that will help him grow as a believer.
We stand in faith, believing that the God of miracles can wholly heal your son. We pray for a successful rehab process, and for God to reveal His plan and purpose through this trial.
We also pray that this is a chance for a testimony for Christ and a chance to witness to others about the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Lastly, we remind you that it is in the name of Jesus that we come to God the Father with these requests. As it says in John 14:13-14 WEB, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
So, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up your son to You. We ask for Your healing touch upon his body, and for Your peace and comfort to fill his heart. We ask for God's grace on his life. We pray for the medical team, for wisdom and skill, and for a successful surgery and recovery. We ask that You surround your son with godly friends and relationships, and that You reveal Your plan and purpose to him through this journey. We ask for complete healing, and we thank You for the miracle that You are going to perform in his life. We pray all of these things in Jesus' mighty name and that Christ would use this for His glory, that perhaps others might see and have some of the glory rub off onto them and that they might be saved. Amen.
Let us encourage you to continue to trust in God and to seek Him in all things. As Psalm 18:2 says, "Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower."
