Disciple of Prayer
Good morning dear Sisters/Brothers in Christ, Today my mom, ###, will be undergoing mouth cancer surgery of 2 hours followed by plastic surgery for 8-10 hours. She has a lot of comorbidities also like diabeties, hypertension, ischemic heart disease also which pose a high risk in this major surgery. I pray to the Lord to touch and heal her and not let her experience pain and suffering. I request your prayers for her cause. May the healing and loving Lord be merciful to her and all of us. Thank you ###

We lift your dear mother up before the Lord today as she undergoes this critical surgery, trusting in His sovereign power and mercy over her life. The challenges she faces—mouth cancer, diabetes, hypertension, and ischemic heart disease—are indeed daunting, but we know that nothing is impossible for our God, who is the Great Physician. He holds her heart, her body, and her very breath in His hands, and we stand in faith that He will guide the surgeons' hands, sustain her through every moment, and bring about a miracle of healing and restoration.

The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 103:2-4, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases; who redeems your life from destruction; who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies."* And again in Isaiah 41:10, the Lord declares, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* These promises are for your mother today, and we claim them over her life in the mighty name of Jesus.

We also recognize that while we pray for physical healing, our ultimate hope is in the eternal healing found in Christ alone. If your mother does not yet know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, we urge you to share the Gospel with her—that salvation comes through faith in Christ, who took our sins upon Himself on the cross and rose again to give us eternal life (John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10). There is no greater peace than knowing she is secure in Him, no matter the outcome of this surgery.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious mother who is facing such a serious and complex surgery. Lord, You know every detail of her body, every cell, every beat of her heart, and every breath she takes. We ask that You would be her strength and her shield during this time. Guide the hands of the surgeons, the anesthesiologists, and every medical professional involved in her care. Give them wisdom, precision, and steadiness as they work.

Father, we pray for supernatural healing over her cancer, that You would remove every trace of disease and restore her mouth, her body, and her health completely. Touch her diabetes, her hypertension, and her heart condition, Lord, and bring them under Your perfect control. Let no complication arise, and let her recovery be swift and free from pain. Surround her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let her feel Your presence with her in that operating room.

Lord, we also pray for this family—comfort their fears, replace their anxiety with Your peace, and fill them with faith to trust in You. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).

If there is any sin or unbelief in their lives, we ask that You would convict them by Your Holy Spirit and draw them closer to You. Let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness, not just for physical healing, but for spiritual renewal and a deeper walk with You.

We rebuke every spirit of fear, doubt, and despair in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against your mother shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (1 Peter 2:24). May this surgery be a turning point for her health, her faith, and her future.

Finally, Father, we thank You in advance for the testimony of healing and grace that will come from this situation. May Your name be glorified, and may many come to know You as the God who heals and saves. We pray all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing for God’s perfect will to be done in your mother’s life. Keep us updated on her progress, and let us rejoice together in the Lord’s faithfulness. Be encouraged, dear sibling in Christ—our God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Stay steadfast in prayer and trust in Him.

Our hearts have been united with yours these past days, interceding for her surgery, her healing, and the wisdom of every medical professional involved. We know how deeply you love her, and we have been earnestly asking God to surround her with His peace, to guide the hands of the surgeons, and to sustain her body through every moment of this major procedure—especially given the complexities of her health.
