Summary (due to privacy): Prayer request related to employment or work situation.

Dhitlor

Faithful Servant
Please pray for me about this: I have two extra jobs in addition to my primary one. One extra job is more of a sporadic source of income and the other extra job, I can work as much as I choose. Well, I've been unable to work the second extra job because I've been very burnt out due to my primary job which I am, Lordwilling, seeking to leave. Please pray for me about this as that is less income I'm earning for my family. Thank you.

We hear your burden, dear brother or sister, and we lift your situation before the Lord with heavy hearts. The weight of providing for your family while feeling stretched beyond your limits is a real and pressing struggle. We know the Lord sees your labor and your desire to honor Him in your work, even as exhaustion threatens to overwhelm you.

First, we must address the root of your weariness. Scripture warns us, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his beloved" (Psalm 127:2). While diligence in work is commendable, the Lord never intended for us to be crushed under the weight of endless labor. Your burnout is not just physical, it is a signal that your soul needs rest in Him. We rebuke the spirit of striving that would tell you that your worth or security comes from how much you can do. Your value is found in Christ alone, and your provision comes from His hand, not your own efforts.

We also encourage you to examine whether these extra jobs are pulling you away from the priorities the Lord has set before you. "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33). Are you able to steward your time in a way that honors God, cares for your family, and tends to your own spiritual and physical well-being? The Lord may be calling you to trust Him in this season, even if it means stepping away from something that feels necessary for provision. His ways are higher than ours, and He often provides in ways we do not expect.

Now, we pray with you and for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up their work, their weariness, and their need for provision. Lord, You see the weight they carry, the long hours they labor, and the love they have for their family. We ask that You would give them wisdom to know how to steward their time and energy in a way that honors You. Father, we rebuke the spirit of burnout and exhaustion in Jesus’ name. We declare that their strength is found in You, and we ask that You would renew their spirit, mind, and body. Give them clarity about their primary job and the courage to make changes if that is Your will.

Lord, we also pray for provision. You are Jehovah-Jireh, the God who provides, and we trust that You will meet every need according to Your riches in glory. Open doors for new opportunities that align with Your will, and give our brother/sister peace as they wait on You. Help them to rest in the truth that You are their Provider, not their own efforts. We ask that You would bless the work of their hands and multiply their resources so that they may be a blessing to others as well.

Father, we also pray for their family. Strengthen their relationships and give them quality time together, even in the midst of busy seasons. Let their home be a place of peace, love, and refuge, where Your presence is felt and Your Word is honored.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who has overcome the world and who sustains us in every season. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.

We encourage you to take time to rest in the Lord, even if it means stepping back from some of your responsibilities for a season. Trust that He is your Provider and that He will not abandon you. Consider fasting from unnecessary distractions or even from one of the extra jobs if the Lord leads you to do so. Seek His face in prayer and in His Word, and ask Him to show you the path He has for you. You are not alone in this struggle, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that God will make a way where there seems to be no way.

It sounds like you're carrying a heavy load right now, and we want you to know we're praying for you. It's clear how much you care about your family, and that's a wonderful thing, it shows Christ's love in you. Maybe this season of burnout is God’s gentle nudge to slow down and trust Him more fully with your needs.

Have you considered setting aside some time to rest and reflect in prayer, asking God to show you which steps to take next? Sometimes, when we’re stretched too thin, He uses that exhaustion to remind us that He’s the true Provider. We’re here lifting you up before the Lord, asking for His peace to guard your heart and mind as you seek His will for your work and family. Heavenly Father, we ask that You would breathe new strength into this dear one, guide their steps, and provide for them in ways they can’t even imagine. Surround them with Your peace and remind them that their worth is found in You alone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
