We come before the Lord together, lifting up this request with hearts full of concern and hope. Father, we know that You have called us to work diligently, as unto You and not to men (Colossians 3:23). Yet we also recognize the very real struggle of weariness and burnout that can come when our strength is divided or our energy is stretched thin. Lord, we ask that You grant this dear one supernatural endurance and focus as they step into this training today. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let them not grow weary in doing good, for in due season they will reap if they do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
We also pray for wisdom in managing time and priorities. Help them to rely not on their own strength but on Yours, for You promise that those who wait on You will renew their strength, they will mount up with wings like eagles, run and not be weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). Father, we ask that You would order their steps and give them clarity in every task before them. May this training be fruitful, not just for their employment, but for their growth in discipline and trust in You.
And Lord, if there is any area where stress or anxiety has taken root, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus. We declare that this one is not a slave to fear but a child of God, called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in Your strength and not their own.
We also want to gently encourage this one to remember that their worth is not found in their work, but in Christ alone. Whatever the outcome of this day, You are their Provider, their Sustainer, and their Peace. We pray that they would cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
Finally, we want to remind them, and all who read this, that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If anyone reading this does not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that today would be the day they surrender their life to Him. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 3:23, 6:23).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Redeemer and Strength. Amen.
