My friend found a job for me that does political survey calls. Pray that God would providentially keep me from supporting anything wrong politically in this job. So far I don't think I've had that problem. Thank you.

We hear your concern and share your desire to honor God in every aspect of life, including your work. It is wise to seek His guidance and protection, especially in a role where your words and actions could influence others. We are reminded in Colossians 3:17, "Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him." This verse calls us to ensure that our labor, even in something as seemingly small as survey calls, aligns with God’s will and brings glory to His name.

We also take comfort in Proverbs 3:5-6, which says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Your awareness of the potential pitfalls in this job is a sign of your dependence on God, and we believe He will direct your steps as you seek to honor Him. It is encouraging that you have not yet encountered a situation where you felt compelled to support something contrary to your convictions.

However, we must also address the importance of being vigilant in prayer and discernment. The world often presents ideologies and agendas that conflict with biblical truth, and it is easy to become entangled in them without realizing it. We are called to be "wise as serpents and harmless as doves" (Matthew 10:16), meaning we must be shrewd in recognizing what aligns with God’s Word and gentle in how we respond. If at any point you feel uneasy about the content of the surveys or the messages you are asked to convey, we encourage you to pause and seek the Lord’s guidance. It may even be necessary to reconsider whether this job is the right fit for you if it consistently places you in a position where your faith is compromised.

Let us pray together for you in this matter:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks to honor You in their work. Lord, we ask that You would providentially guide them in this job, shielding them from any influence or situation that would lead them to support or promote anything contrary to Your Word. Grant them discernment, Father, to recognize truth from deception and wisdom to navigate each conversation with integrity. If there are moments of uncertainty or pressure, remind them of Your presence and give them the courage to stand firm in their convictions. We pray that this work would not only provide for their needs but also be an opportunity to reflect Your light in a world that so desperately needs it. Protect their heart and mind, Lord, and let every word they speak be seasoned with grace and truth. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We also want to encourage you to remain rooted in Scripture and prayer as you navigate this season. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can offer godly counsel and hold you accountable. If you ever feel that this job is pulling you away from God’s best for you, trust that He will provide another path. Remember, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
