We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious family member in need of healing and support. The Word of God assures us that "the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:15). We stand on this promise, believing that our Heavenly Father hears the cries of His children and is mighty to save.
Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon this beloved one. Touch every cell, every organ, and every part of their body with Your restoring power. Where there is pain, bring comfort; where there is weakness, bring strength; and where there is fear, bring Your perfect peace. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your unfailing love to sustain them through this trial.
We also pray for the family surrounding this dear one. Lord, grant them wisdom, patience, and endurance as they walk this difficult path. May they find their strength in You, knowing that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). Surround them with Your presence, and let them feel the support of the body of Christ as they lean on one another in faith.
If there is any unconfessed sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness in the hearts of those involved, we ask that You reveal it, Lord, so that it may be brought to the cross of Jesus. Forgiveness and repentance open the door for Your healing and restoration (2 Chronicles 7:14). We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or despair that may be trying to take hold, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We encourage this family to draw near to You, Lord, through prayer, reading Your Word, and fellowship with other believers. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let them find hope in Your promises and comfort in Your presence.
Above all, we pray that this trial would draw them closer to You, Jesus. If there is anyone in this family who does not yet know You as their Lord and Savior, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and we pray that they would come to know the life-transforming power of the gospel. May they confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).
We commit this family into Your hands, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it all. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
