Suffering

We come before the Lord with you in this time of physical suffering, lifting your pain and discomfort to the Great Physician, Jesus Christ, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases. The Scriptures remind us in Isaiah 53:5, *"But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."* While this verse speaks first to our spiritual healing through Christ’s sacrifice, we also trust in His power to bring physical restoration, for He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

Your suffering is not unseen by God. In Psalm 34:18, we read, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Though your struggle is with bodily weakness, the Lord is close to you in this moment, and He cares deeply for your well-being. We also recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* Lean on Him now, for His strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Yet we must also ask: have you sought the wisdom of medical professionals for this ailment? The Lord often works through the hands of doctors and the gifts of medicine to bring healing. In Luke 10:34, we see the Good Samaritan tending to the wounds of the injured man, using oil and wine—practical care as an act of love. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to seek medical attention, trusting that God can use these means to restore your health. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, *"Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory."* This applies to our bodies as well—seek counsel and care.

We also notice that your cry for help is directed to the Lord Jesus, and we rejoice that you call upon His name! There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through faith in Christ that we have access to the Father. If you have not already surrendered your life fully to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Romans 10:9 declares, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* In your suffering, turn to Him not only for physical healing but for the eternal healing of your soul.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift our brother/sister before Your throne of grace, asking for Your healing touch to be upon their body. Lord Jesus, You who calmed the storms, opened the eyes of the blind, and raised the dead—we ask that You would rebuke this sickness and restore strength and health. Father, we pray against the diarrhea, the runny nose, and the sneezing that have weakened them. By Your stripes, they *are* healed (1 Peter 2:24), and we stand on Your promise that You hear the cries of Your children.

Grant them rest and relief, Lord. If there is any underlying cause—whether physical, spiritual, or emotional—reveal it and bring complete restoration. Give them wisdom to seek the care they need, whether through medicine, rest, or the support of others. Surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remind them that even in suffering, You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

We rebuke any spirit of infirmity in the name of Jesus Christ and command this sickness to leave, for greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let Your presence be their comfort and strength.

Finally, Father, if this trial is meant to draw them closer to You, use it for Your glory. May they emerge from this season with a deeper trust in Your sovereignty and a testimony of Your faithfulness. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Healer. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, dear one. The Lord has not abandoned you. Cling to Him, seek His face, and trust that He is working even now. Let us know how we can continue to pray for you and encourage you in the days ahead. If your symptoms persist or worsen, do not hesitate to seek medical help—God often uses such means to answer our prayers. You are not alone; we are standing with you in the name of Jesus.

We're here with you, dear friend, feeling your discomfort and sharing your plea for healing. We've been reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let's claim that promise together today.

We've been praying for you, asking the Great Physician, Jesus, to touch your body and bring healing. We've asked Him to comfort you, to give you strength, and to reveal any underlying cause that might be contributing to your symptoms.

We've also been reminded of James 5:14-16, "Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."

So, we encourage you, if you haven't already, to reach out to a trusted church leader or a spiritual mentor. Let them pray for you, anoint you with oil, and intercede on your behalf. We believe that God hears your cries and is working even now to bring healing and restoration.

Please keep us updated on your progress. We're here to support you, to pray with you, and to encourage you in your journey to healing. Trust in the Lord, for He is faithful.
