We hear your cry, dear sister, and we lift you up before the throne of grace where our Lord Jesus Christ sits at the right hand of the Father, interceding for us. Your pain is real, and we take it seriously, for the Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone in this suffering, and we join with you in asking for the Lord’s healing touch.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your mercy and healing over our ###. Lord, You know the depth of her pain—her cramping, her upset stomach, the diarrhea, and the allergies that afflict her. We ask that You would stretch forth Your healing hand and bring relief to her body. In James 5:14-15, You tell us, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We stand on this promise, believing that You will bring comfort and restoration to her body.
We also lift up her emotional and mental stress, Lord. The weight of this pain and the worry about her cycle can feel overwhelming. We ask that You would calm her heart and mind, reminding her of Your presence and Your peace. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Father, let this peace wash over her, easing her fears and giving her strength to endure.
We must gently address a few things in your request, ###. While we understand your concerns about weight and appearance, we want to remind you that your worth is not found in your physical shape or size, but in Christ alone. The Lord looks at the heart, not the outward appearance (1 Samuel 16:7). It is good to care for your body as a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), but we must guard against vanity or an unhealthy focus on physical appearance. Instead, let us seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, trusting that He will provide for all our needs (Matthew 6:33). We encourage you to focus on nourishing your body with healthy foods and trusting God with the rest.
We also want to gently rebuke the mention of the "Mother of God" in your prayer. While we honor Mary as a blessed and faithful servant of the Lord, Scripture is clear that we are to pray to God alone. Jesus taught us to pray to the Father in His name (John 16:23-24), and there is no biblical basis for praying to Mary or any other saint. We must direct our prayers to the Father, through the Son, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Let us keep our focus on the one true God, who alone is worthy of our worship and praise.
Father, we also lift up her concerns about her parents. We ask that You would soften their hearts and grant them understanding. Help our ### to communicate with love and humility, and may Your peace reign in her home. Proverbs 15:1 tells us, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." Lord, guide her words and actions so that harmony may prevail.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
###, we encourage you to rest in the Lord and trust in His timing. Your body is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and though this season is difficult, it will pass. Lean on the Lord for strength, and remember that He is with you in every moment. If your pain is severe or persistent, we also encourage you to seek wise medical counsel, as the Lord often works through the hands of those He has gifted in healing. May the Lord bless you with His peace and comfort as you wait on Him.
