Suffering from stress

Vayriinway

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray that I would have protection from witchcraft. I am struggling to sleep, it seems to be in my current accomodation. It is very hard to sleep here, I can feel something that I have never dealt with before. Please also pray for suitable employment, a ministry and the ability to keep up with God's will for me. Thank you and I ask that God would bless you also.

We hear your distress and stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting every concern to the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). He is our refuge, our strength, and our ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

The spiritual oppression you describe is real, and we take it seriously. The Bible warns us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). We rebuke every assignment of witchcraft, every spirit of fear, and every demonic influence over your life and dwelling place in the name of Jesus. The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Heavenly Father, we come before You now, pleading the blood of Jesus over this dear one’s life, mind, and home. We ask You to dispatch Your holy angels to encamp around them, to guard and protect them from every evil work (Psalm 91:11-12). Lord, we command every unclean spirit to flee in Jesus’ name, for You have given us authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). Bring peace to their mind, body, and spirit, and grant them restful, undisturbed sleep. Fill their home with Your presence, Your light, and Your peace, driving out every shadow of darkness.

We also lift up the need for suitable employment and ministry. Father, You know the plans You have for them, plans to prosper and not to harm, plans to give hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Open doors of opportunity that no one can shut, and lead them into the work You have prepared in advance for them to do (Ephesians 2:10). Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Give them wisdom, discernment, and favor as they seek to align their steps with Your will. May they walk in the calling You have placed on their life, serving You with joy and faithfulness.

Lord, we ask that You strengthen their ability to keep up with Your will. When they are weak, be their strength (Isaiah 40:31). When they are weary, renew their spirit. Help them to seek You first in all things, trusting that You will direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may bear fruit in every season and remain steadfast in their faith.

We also want to gently encourage you to examine your surroundings and your heart. Is there anything in your life or home that may have opened a door to spiritual attack? The Bible instructs us to flee from idolatry and every form of evil (1 Corinthians 10:14). If there are objects, practices, or influences that do not align with God’s Word, we encourage you to remove them and renounce any connection to them in Jesus’ name. Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).

Finally, we pray for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit. May you be clothed with power from on high (Luke 24:49), and may the joy of the Lord be your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Walk in the authority and victory that Christ has already won for you, knowing that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

We stand with you, believing that God will bring breakthrough, restoration, and peace. Keep pressing into Him, and do not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). You are not alone, we are praying, and the Lord is fighting for you.

Thank you for sharing this with us. It takes courage to name what you’re sensing, and we don’t take it lightly. We’re grateful you reached out, and we’re standing with you in prayer.

When sleep is disrupted by a presence that feels oppressive, it can be deeply isolating and exhausting. We’ve seen how the enemy tries to use fear and restlessness to wear people down, but we also know the One who gives sleep to those He loves is far greater. It’s not wrong to acknowledge that something feels spiritually off in your accommodation; Scripture reminds us our struggle isn’t against flesh and blood. And yet we don’t need to live in dread, because Christ has already disarmed every power that stands against us. Your safety and peace are held securely in His authority.

One practical thing that has helped many believers in similar situations is to fill the physical space with worship, playing quiet instrumental music or hymns as you settle in at night. That simple act can shift the atmosphere and remind your heart that God’s presence fills the room. You might also quietly read a psalm aloud before lying down, focusing on God’s character rather than on the disturbance you feel. If, over time, the sleep trouble persists, please consider speaking with a doctor as well; sometimes spiritual stress is compounded by physical factors that need attention.

We’re also praying with you for suitable work, for open doors into ministry, and for clarity to keep step with God’s will daily. Those longings are good, and we trust He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.

Lord Jesus, we ask for Your peace to settle over this dear one like a blanket tonight. Surround their home with Your protection, and silence any voice that is not Yours. Renew their mind, grant deep and restful sleep, and open the right opportunities for employment and meaningful service. Sustain them in the path You’ve marked out, and let them know they are not alone. In Your name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The arrow of the enemy is often shot at the saints when they seek rest, and that dread you feel in the night watches is no strange thing among the Lord’s tried ones. Witchcraft is but one of the dark powers of that Egypt into which God’s people sometimes fall, a state of sadness, depression, and oppression. Yet the same word that broke Pharaoh’s hold declares, “He brought them forth also with silver and gold, and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.” Your deliverance, too, must be of free grace alone. You can do nothing; but the Lord’s strong hand is not shortened.

The evil one would have you believe that God’s ear is shut, that He will never move His arm for you. That is the very arrow of despair I have seen shot into many a trembling heart. But remember Jacob at the brook Jabbok. He cried for deliverance from Esau, crossed the stream full of fear, and found his brother falling on his neck with kisses. The Lord who dealt with the bloodthirsty hunter can silence the terrors of your room. Satan is a chained foe. Christ has spoiled principalities and powers, triumphing over them openly in His cross. The ransom is found, the precious blood of the Son of God, and therefore your deliverance from the power of darkness is already secured. You ask for protection; you have it in the covenant. He has delivered us from the guilt and the tyranny of sin, and He will not abandon you to works of darkness. The clock of mercy struck in heaven the moment you trusted Jesus, and the purpose of Jehovah decreed your safety.

This present sleeplessness may well be a chastening of love. Life and health often come to saints through briny tears, through the bruising of the flesh and the oppression of the spirit. I am bound to believe the Lord sometimes whispers to His children in trial a sweet assurance that they shall not be crushed. Do not think your case is beyond His pity. “The Lord hath chastened me sorely: but he hath not given me over unto death.” Even now, if you will rest your soul upon Him, He will give you songs in the night. Pray with the psalmist, “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.” The same God who watches over the sheep folds will shelter your chamber.

As for suitable employment and a door for ministry, the Lord who shoots the arrow of deliverance against Syria uses human instrumentality, but the deliverance is His. Trust Him to guide your path. The same hand that brings you out of this present gloom will set your feet in a large room and open a door which none can shut. He will provide the manna and the water, and your soul shall yet declare His works in Zion. Wait upon Him; do not fret because of evildoers. This trial is permitted to increase your usefulness. A person who has no experience of tribulation, what great deliverance has he to speak of? When you are brought forth, then you will tell of His faithfulness to the gathering of the saints, and many shall be comforted by your testimony.

Therefore, let your conduct now be one of simple trust. “He hath delivered us”, past tense, because in Christ it is finished. You are not looking to achieve your own deliverance; you are resting in a finished ransom. The ministry God sends to you now is one of consolation, not condemnation. Go to the cross afresh, plead the blood, and put on the whole armor of God that you may withstand the wiles of the devil. My heart prays that you shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. The Lord rebuke the adversary, grant you quiet nights, suitable provision, and a fruitful ministry, all to His eternal praise. Peace be within your borders, for He is your peace.

The trouble you feel in your dwelling is no cause for terror, for greater is He that is in you than any power of the enemy. When the soul is guarded by prayer and a sober mind, the schemes of darkness have no hold. You say you cannot sleep, that something oppresses you. Yet remember that the sleep of the body is a small thing; the true sleep is that of the soul when it ceases to do good and becomes drunk with vain fears. Do not let anxiety master you, but turn your waking hours into a watch of faith. The Lord who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He bids you stand steadfast. Let no one suffer your foot to be moved, for the suffering depends on yourself. Resist the enemy by refusing his lies, and he will flee.

Why do you waste your thoughts on witchcraft? It is a dream, a phantom. Those who chase such fears see things that are not, as in a night vision. The present life is full of dreams: riches, comfort, and even afflictions that seem so solid now will soon fade. Fix your eyes on the things that truly are: the mercy of God, the hope of salvation, the inheritance of the saints. When the Apostles were beaten and thrown into the inner prison, at midnight they sang praises to God. Their bonds were loosed, not by their own strength but by the Most High. Imitate them. Fill your room with hymns rather than restless thoughts. A heart that is sober and free from the surfeit of worldly cares sleeps in peace, even when the body lies awake. Make provision for your body's health, enough for necessity, but not for the lusts that breed fear. Eat simply, avoid excess, and let your bed be a place of decency and prayer.

As for suitable employment and a ministry, humble yourself under the mighty hand of God. The poor in spirit, those who choose lowliness, are blessed. Do not despise small beginnings. Every talent, however modest, is given for the common good. If you have a voice to encourage, hands to serve, or a heart to intercede, that is your ministry right now. Trust that God who feeds the ravens will open a door for honest work. Seek first His kingdom, and all these things will be added. You ask to keep up with His will: that is the very sign of a watchful soul. Persevere in that desire, and He will guide your steps.

Let no one deceive you. The onslaught you feel is permitted that you may learn to fight and to prove that the grace of Christ is sufficient. Do not sink under affliction, but give thanks. Remember the holy Children in the furnace, and Paul and Silas in the stocks. They did not murmur; they sang. So do you. In this way you will find rest for your soul, and even your body will know true sleep. May the Lord rebuke the devourer for your sake, give you the dew of His consolation, and make you steadfast and unmoveable in His love.

Your words point to something the Scriptures take seriously. There is a real spiritual conflict raging around us, and the forces of darkness are intelligent and deliberate in their malice. The restlessness you feel in that place, the inability to sleep, that oppressive sense of something unfamiliar and hostile, these are not imagined. The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, and it is no surprise when his minions concentrate their attack where they can worry the mind and wear down the body. Yet the first thing we must remember together is this: the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

These spirits operate with a limited and grudging permission. Even when they targeted the Son of God in the flesh, they had to ask leave before they could enter a herd of swine. Their hatred is real, but their authority over a blood-bought child of God is broken. When they accuse, when they oppress, when they twist the atmosphere of a room into something crushing, they are fighting a battle already decided at the cross. Christ made a public spectacle of principalities and powers, triumphing over them in it. So the first posture is not fear but the firm resistance of faith. Submit yourself to God, resist the devil, and he will flee.

What you are describing in your accommodation sounds like an assignment meant to isolate and exhaust. That kind of pressure often comes in the night watches, when the mind would otherwise be still. But the Lord neither slumbers nor sleeps, and the darkness is as light to Him. Let your sleepless hours become a watch of prayer rather than a vigil of anxiety. Cry out, as the psalmist did, for light and truth to lead you, for His presence to be the palpable answer to every shadow. The protection of the Most High does not require a changed physical location before it is effective; it is a present reality for those who abide under His shadow.

Be sober and vigilant. Examine your own life and surroundings to ensure no open door has been offered to these things. The Word warns plainly against dabbling in spiritism, sorcery, or any form of occult practice, for these invite a demonic hold that demands more and deeper bondage. Renounce firmly and specifically anything of that kind that may have attached itself to your past or present. Tolerate no objects, books, or practices that the Lord would not bless. The seal of God upon His people is a separation, a mark of ownership that the locusts of the pit are commanded not to touch. That divine protection is your inheritance in Christ. Plead the blood of Jesus over your mind, your body, and that room. Command every unclean spirit to leave in His name, and do not engage in conversation with the darkness; simply stand on the authority He has delegated to His church.

The same King who will one day consign the hordes of the abyss to their final judgment is the One who now watches over your going out and coming in. He does not forget your affliction and oppression. Your soul may be bowed down to the dust, but He will arise for your help and redeem you for His mercy’s sake. Trust Him to lead you into suitable employment and to open a sphere of ministry at the proper time. Those things will unfold as you seek first His kingdom and walk in today’s portion of His will. Keep your garments unspotted from the world, watching and praying always. I am joining my faith with yours for complete deliverance, peaceful sleep, and the clear guidance of the Holy Spirit in every practical need.
