Jesus, please take from my life every joke of under-or low achievement or backwardness, especially in my work,let my employers see that I am working good and silence every voice speaking against my work.

We hear your heart’s cry for excellence and recognition in your work, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this before the Lord in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we find true success, for He is the One who equips us with strength, wisdom, and favor. The Bible tells us in Colossians 3:23-24, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." This is a powerful reminder that our labor is ultimately an act of worship to God, and He sees every effort we make, even when others may not.

We also rebuke every spirit of underachievement, backwardness, and every voice speaking against your progress in the workplace. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that every assignment of failure, every lie that says you are not capable, and every plot to diminish your work is broken now in Jesus’ name! The Lord says in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me," says the Lord. You are not defined by past struggles or the opinions of others, you are defined by God’s purpose for you.

We pray that your employers and colleagues would see the excellence of your work and the integrity of your character. Let favor surround you like a shield, and may God open doors of opportunity that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We ask the Lord to silence every voice that seeks to undermine you and to replace every negative word with His truth. Proverbs 22:29 says, "Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings. He won’t serve common people." May this be your portion as you commit your work to the Lord.

Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking that You take every limitation, every doubt, and every hindrance from [this individual’s] life. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may work with diligence, creativity, and joy, knowing that their labor is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). Let their hands be blessed, and may their work bring glory to Your name. We break every curse of mediocrity and declare that excellence is their portion. May their employers recognize their value, and may doors of promotion swing wide open. We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already theirs in Christ. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord in all you do, trusting that He will direct your steps. Walk in humility, but also in the confidence that comes from knowing you are called and anointed for greatness. The battle is already won, stand firm in faith!

We hear the real pain in this request, the frustration of feeling overlooked, the sting of being the target of jokes at work, and the deep desire to simply be seen for the good work you're doing. That kind of environment wears on a person, and it's not a small thing to carry.

What we've found helpful in situations like this is to first untangle what's actually true from what the discouragement is telling us. When we feel under attack, every glance or offhand comment can start to look like evidence against us. Taking stock of what's real, maybe even writing down specific examples of your work going well and moments where you were affirmed, can steady your perspective. It's not about pretending the hard parts aren't there, but about not letting them become the whole story.

It might also be wise to bring the situation to someone you trust who knows your workplace. Not to gossip or campaign for yourself, but to get grounded input. Sometimes an outside view helps us see whether this is a pattern that needs addressing or a season that will pass, and whether there's anything concrete you can do to shift the dynamic.

Lord Jesus, you see this person's work and the effort they pour into it. You see the discouragement too. We ask for your steadying presence in that workplace, for clarity about what's real, for favor where it's needed, and for the dignity of being seen accurately. Give wisdom about any steps to take, and grant relief from the weariness of feeling criticized. We trust you with this, in Jesus' name.

You cry out against the reproach of low achievement and the voices that speak against your work, and it is right that you bring this to the throne of grace. Let us reason together from the Divine record. Do you think it is a small thing that the God of Jeshurun should take notice of your daily labor? When the world ridicules and your employers seem blind to your diligence, remember that there is a Divine sovereignty in all this. The Lord does not waste the trials of His children. A man who should live and die without such tests would be like a setting sun without clouds, scant opportunity to display the virtues which Divine Grace has endowed. Your present struggle is the very training ground where God thrusts out the enemy before you, even the enemy of discouragement and false accusation. He has said, “Destroy them,” but first He teaches your hands to war and your fingers to fight through faith.

Let this be your confidence: the favor of God is the hope of His people. Did not our Lord Jesus Christ endure the contradiction of sinners and the whisper of “nothing good” from those who watched Him? Yet the sweet savor of His merits is now the eternal acceptance of all who trust in Him. The Lord accepts your person through the sweet savor of Christ, not through the fickle approval of men. Desire, then, to be a savor of Christ in that workplace. Pour your request into His ear with the simplicity of a child, for the Divine proof is that asking shall be followed by receiving. The mercy which you appropriate as peculiarly your own will not fail you.

Look to the Divine interpositions that have already marked your path. How remarkably God delivers His saints, not always by miracles, but by turning common means to wondrous ends in answer to prayer. Shall He not silence the voice of the detractor and cause your employers to see your good works in His own time? Divine gentleness has held back many a blow against you, and that same gentleness will now make you great in the sight of those who watch. But trust not in the arm of flesh; commit your work to the Lord, and though the answer tarry, wait for it. The grandest achievement is for God to work, in answer to the cry of His servants, that which appears impossible without a suspension of natural laws. Grace is the antidote to the mockery of backwardness. Walk obediently before Him, believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and lean wholly upon His satisfaction. Then when the deliverance comes, you shall say, “He hath delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.” Let prayer be no faint whisper, but a mighty pressing into the Divine Presence, for that Presence is the one hope. Only be obedient to the faith, and your work shall yet be as incense offered in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Why tempt me, you hypocrite? The prayer you offer reveals a heart more concerned with the praise of men than the approval of God. You ask Jesus to silence every voice speaking against your work and to make your employers see your good performance. But consider: did not the Lord Himself teach us to seek first His kingdom and righteousness, not the fleeting honors of this world? Our teaching is not of error or vainglory. We speak not as pleasing men, but God who proves our hearts. If He has entrusted you with your work, labor with diligence, not for the applause of your supervisors, but as one approved by God. He sees the secret intents of every soul. Rather than begging for the silencing of others, examine whether your own conduct is free from uncleanness and guile. A laborer whose worth is anchored in Christ need not clamor for vindication; the Lord will exalt the humble in due season. Focus on being faithful, not on crafting a reputation before men.

The world is filled with promises of quick success, seminars that claim to show you how to transform your reputation in six weeks, but the Scriptures take us down a different path. We simply do not have the power within ourselves to silence those voices or to change how others view us. That humbling recognition is actually a gift, because it makes us cry out for the only One who can deliver us.

In the workplace, our calling is to serve wholeheartedly, as if working directly for the Lord. When you show consistent, diligent labor, not to prove something but simply as an act of worship, your witness grows strong. Even if your employer is a believer, don’t resent that relationship or expect special favor; instead, serve them with even greater excellence, because they are a brother or sister who benefits from your work. The real target is to please God, not to manage the opinions of others.

Think of Gideon, surrounded by the Midianites who were as thick as a plague of locusts. Humanly speaking, there was no way to overcome such a swarm. Yet God stripped everything down until only His power remained. Your workplace may feel the same, with jokes and criticisms covering the land like an army. But God knows how to deliver. Let Him take from your life every lie of backwardness or failure, not by your force, but by His Spirit. He silences voices not always in the way we expect, but by giving you a quiet confidence and eventually, in His time, causing even those who oppose you to see His blessing on your work. Keep looking to Him, not to your own strength, and let Him be your vindicator.
