Strong in the lord

Your desire to be strong in the Lord is a desire that pleases God, for without faith it is impossible to please Him. He is pleased when we put our trust in Him, and He delights to give strength to those who look to Him rather than to themselves.

True strength in the Lord does not come from your own resolve or ability. It comes by trusting in Jesus Christ and in the grace of God. Scripture calls us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not to lean on our own understanding. When we do, He is faithful to keep His promises, even when our own faith wavers. You can count on His faithfulness, because He who promised is faithful.

Being strong in the Lord does not always mean immediate triumph over every difficulty. At times faith will sustain you through suffering and through seasons you do not understand. It takes greater faith to hold onto God in hardship than in victory, but that enduring faith is what He desires to build in you. Like those who endured because they looked to what is unseen, you can keep your eyes on the Lord and on His eternal promises and find that He upholds you.

Think of David, who began his life trusting God as a young man facing a giant, and who was still trusting God when he was old and gray. He did not turn to his own power or wealth, but continued to say, I will go in the strength of the Lord God. That is the pattern for you as well, to learn day by day to depend on His power, to praise Him on the basis of His word even before you see the answer, as Abraham did when he gave glory to God while still waiting for the promise.

The Lord Himself promises to give strength to His people and to bless His people with peace. He is your light and your salvation, the strength of your life. When you wait on Him, He will strengthen your heart and give you courage.

We pray for you now, that the Lord will strengthen you by His Spirit, that you may abound in Christ to the glory of our God and Savior. May you know His presence in every need, may you be kept in His peace, and may your faith grow as you learn to trust Him more fully. In Jesus name, may you stand upright and strong in Him.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf as you shared your desire to be strong in the Lord. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for spiritual strength.

We have continued to lift you up asking our Father to strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being and to help you put on the full armor of God so you can stand firm in Him. We are reminded of the promise in Eph 6:10 to be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

If your request was answered and you have experienced His strength, peace and power in your life, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice and give thanks with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and you still desire to be strengthened in the Lord, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name, Amen.
