To be strong in the lord

We hear your heart's cry to be strong in the Lord and we join with you in this desire, for this is God's will for each of His children. We understand that true strength does not come from our own willpower or resolve, but from abiding in Christ and relying on His might. As it is written, Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. And also Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

We notice your request mentions the Lord, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and receive this strength. There is no other name by which we can be saved or come boldly before God. Jesus Himself said, John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for Romans 10:9 If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is through Him that we are made strong, for His grace is sufficient and His power is made perfect in our weakness as 2 Corinthians 12:9 reminds us.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We ask that You fill them with Your strength and power by Your Holy Spirit in their inner being. Where they feel weak, weary, or faint, Lord pour out Your might upon them. Help them to put on the whole armor of God daily, to stand firm in faith, to dwell in Your Word, and to seek You in prayer without ceasing. Teach them to wait upon You, for Isaiah 40:29 says He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might, and Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. Give them a spirit not of fear, but of power, love, and self-control as promised in 2 Timothy 1:7, and let them be bold and courageous knowing You are with them wherever they go as in Joshua 1:9. Strengthen their faith, guard their heart, and let Christ dwell richly within them. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek strength in the Lord through daily time in Scripture, through prayer, through fellowship with other believers, and through obedience. Strength grows as we trust Him in small trials and learn that He is faithful. Remember Isaiah 41:10 Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Keep your eyes on Jesus, remain rooted in His Word, and He will uphold you and make you strong for every good work He has prepared for you.

We hear the honesty in this desire to be strong in the Lord, and we are grateful you shared it. Wanting to stand firm with Him is a good place to be, and we want to stand with you in it.

One thing that has helped many of us is to think of strength less as trying harder in a moment and more as training over time. Like preparing for a long race, it builds gradually through small, faithful steps, with highs and lows along the way. Knowing that can take some pressure off when you feel you should be further along than you are.

In daily life that kind of strength often grows as we stay close to the Lord in steady, simple ways, spending time in His Word, talking with Him in prayer, gathering for worship with other believers, and leaning on the Holy Spirit to do in us what we cannot do on our own. We are each made differently, so the rhythms that help one person grow may look a little different for another, and that is normal.

If it would help, you might choose just one small, doable practice to focus on this week rather than trying to change everything at once. For example, setting aside a brief unhurried time each morning to read and pray, or making sure you are connected regularly with a local church community where you can be encouraged and encourage others.

Father, we thank You for the desire You have placed in our friend to walk closely with You. Draw them near, give steady strength for each day, and keep shaping them to be more like Jesus as they seek You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer to be strong in the Lord is one which the Lord delights to answer, for He loves to see faith in His people and faith is the signal which permits the train of mercy to come to us.

Remember that your strength is not in yourself but in the Lord. As it is written, the joy of the Lord is your strength. As the light of joy varies so does the warmth of holy strength. He who dwells in the light of God is both happy and strong. This joy fortifies the soul against temptation and keeps the heart fixed, trusting in the Lord, when evil tidings come. And this strength comes by faith, for he that by faith lays hold on Christ has laid hold on eternal life.

You have done well to ask, for the apostles themselves cried, Lord, increase our faith. Faith is indeed the gift of God and the operation of the Holy Spirit, yet it is also your act to believe. Christ loves faith because faith gives Him a hearty welcome, faith receives Him, faith embraces Him. Nothing delights Him like a sinner believing in Him. Therefore seek strength not by striving in your own power, but by looking unto Him and being lightened.

How shall this strength be increased in you. The fear of God is kept alive in the heart by the hearing of the Word, for faith comes by hearing. Be diligent then in hearing the Word, study the doctrines of grace, and be much in private prayer, for that stirs up the fire and makes it burn more brilliantly. Rest in the Lord also, for there remains a rest unto the people of God even now on earth. To rest in the Lord is to leave the care of your work with the God who cares for you and to cast all your burden upon Him whose eyes are upon the righteous and whose ears are open unto their cry.

We will pray for you that the Lord Jesus, who as the second Adam entered into covenant on behalf of His people and cannot fail, will keep you and perfect the good work He has begun in you. May He increase your faith, fill you with the joy of His presence, and teach you to glory only in the Lord and to glory heartily in Him with the whole force of your renewed nature.

Our prayer for you is this, that you may be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, that you may rest in Him, rejoice in Him, and find Him to be your strength day by day, trusting wholly in the Lord Jesus Christ through whom alone is salvation, and abiding in His grace until He brings you to His perfect rest.
