Strong in the lord

We join with you in this desire to be strong in the Lord, for this is God's will for each of His children that we not rely on our own flesh but on His mighty power at work within us.

The Scripture tells us Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Ephesians 6:10 and also I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 We are reminded that true strength does not come from our own resolve or willpower, but from abiding in Christ and being filled with His Spirit. The Lord Himself says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10 and He has said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9 This teaches us that when we are weak, He is strong, and His grace carries us.

We encourage you to seek this strength daily by putting on the whole armor of God, by dwelling in His Word, by praying without ceasing, by obeying His commands, and by fellowship with other believers who will build you up. To be strong in the Lord is to walk in obedience, to turn from sin, to trust His promises, and to remember that Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

We notice your request says lord and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and can be made strong in Him. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 To be strong in the Lord is to be in Christ, having believed on Him, confessed Him as Lord, and received His forgiveness and new life. If you have not yet fully trusted in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and confess Him as Lord, for with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. Romans 10:9-10

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We thank You for this heart that longs to be strong in You. We ask that You fill our dear one with Your Holy Spirit, with power and courage and steadfast faith. Strengthen the inner being, renew the mind through Your Word, and help this life to stand firm against temptation and discouragement. Teach us to put on Your whole armor, to stand in truth and righteousness, to walk by faith and not by sight. When weakness comes, let Your power be made perfect, and let Your joy be our strength. Draw this dear one closer to Jesus each day, that abiding in Him, there would be fruit and victory and peace. We ask that You uphold with Your righteous right hand and lead in Your perfect will. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We're so glad you shared this desire to be strong in the Lord. That longing itself is a good sign God is already at work in you, and we want to stand with you in it.

One thing that has helped many of us is realizing strength in the Lord isn't built by trying harder for a day, but by training quietly over time, like preparing for a long walk. It grows gradually, with ups and downs, and it looks a little different for each person. God is the one who brings the growth as we stay close to Him.

A simple way to lean into that this week is to choose one small, steady practice rather than trying to do everything at once. For many, that is setting aside ten minutes most mornings to be in the Word and to pray honestly, and staying connected in worship with other believers who can encourage you. Pay attention to the gifts and strengths God has already placed in you and how He might want to use them to love Him and serve others.

We keep this before the Lord with you.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. Draw near, give wisdom and steady strength for each day, and help them sense Your presence and Your Spirit at work. Form them more and more into the likeness of Christ as they walk with You. Amen.

Your longing to be strong in the Lord is a prayer which God delights to answer, for it is written, Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. This strength is not found in struggling in your own power, for it is God who performs all things for you, and victories over sin are only true victories when they are won through the blood of the Lamb and through the power of Divine Grace.

We pray that the Lord will increase your faith, for faith is the act of man wrought by the gift of God, and every promise is strength given to the man who has faith in the promise. As Jesus said, Have faith in God, so we ask Him to add to your faith, that your heart may be fixed in the sphere of perfect satisfaction in the Lord and patient waiting for His will. May the joy of the Lord be your strength, for as the light of joy varies so does the warmth of holy strength. He who dwells in the light of God is both happy and strong, and that sacred joy will fortify you against temptation and keep you quiet and steadfast when evil tidings come, for the man full of joy within bides his time and crouches in the fulness of his strength.

Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him. The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry. God is all eyes and all ears, and all His eyes and all His ears are for His people. He sees your distress and hears your cry in secret in the bitterness of your soul. Cast yourself upon Christ as a child lies upon its mothers arms, and as the old man leans upon his staff, so lean wholly upon Him. He is the blessed and glorious Covenant Angel who is for you, and glorious are they that are for you in Him.

We entreat the Lord to make you willing in the day of His power, to clothe you with the sun and to put upon you the Lord Jesus, and to keep you walking humbly before Him holding fast the faith He has given. May you glorify God in your common avocations and in the ordinary walk of each day, and may you glory only in the Lord, heartily and growingly and practically, until your strength is made perfect in weakness and you can say, I sought the Lord and He heard me and delivered me from all my fears. May the love of God be shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit, for Jesus sake. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is a good and faithful prayer to ask to be strong in the Lord, and God delights to answer it.

Scripture calls us to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, and that strength comes not from ourselves but from faith that is steadfast and firm. To be strong in faith is not to trust in our own reasonings but to trust God and to give glory to Him, even when what He promises seems beyond what we can see or understand. Abraham did not stagger in unbelief but was strong in faith, giving glory to God, and in that way he received strength.

So I pray for you that God will make your faith steadfast, like soldiers standing in good order, firm and not shaken by trial or deceit. I ask that He will keep you from doubting when the winds blow against you, and that He will help you to stand because your faith is fixed on Christ. As you draw near to Him with a sincere heart and full assurance of faith, having your conscience cleansed by Him, may He strengthen you from within and make you solid and compact in love and in truth.

Do not grow slothful or weary, but hold fast to what you have learned, give thanks in all things, and show forth a life that matches your faith. Read the Scriptures, continue in prayer, and obey what you know to be His will, for faith grows strong when it is exercised in obedience.

May the Lord who promised is faithful strengthen you, establish you, and cause you to abound in faith and in every good work, that you may stand firm to the end and be found faithful before Him.
