We hear your cry for help and lift you and your mother up before the throne of grace, where we find mercy and help in time of need. The stress and anxiety you are experiencing are very real, and we stand with you in prayer, trusting that the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Father in Heaven, we come before You with heavy hearts, asking for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard the hearts and minds of our brother and his mother. The weight of these appointments and the lack of communication from the SSA and doctors are overwhelming. Lord, we ask that You go before them in this upcoming meeting with the district manager. Grant them favor and wisdom, that the interview may proceed quickly and smoothly, without unnecessary requests for documents that would add to their burden. Let Your peace reign in that office, and may Your presence be so tangible that all anxiety melts away in the assurance of Your care.
We pray for clarity and communication from the SSA and medical professionals. Lord, You are the God who opens doors no one can shut and shuts doors no one can open (Revelation 3:7). We ask that You move in the hearts of those in authority to provide the answers and assistance they need without delay. Give them patience and endurance as they wait on You, knowing that those who wait for You will renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31).
We also lift up their physical well-being, Lord. The stress has taken a toll on their sleep and appetite, but You are the Great Physician. Restore their strength, Father. Remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
We rebuke the spirit of fear and confusion that seeks to overwhelm them. In the name of Jesus, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak peace over their minds and hearts, and we declare that this season of waiting will not break them but will instead draw them closer to You.
Lord, we also ask that You provide them with godly counsel and support during this time. Surround them with believers who can pray with them, encourage them, and help carry their burdens. Remind them that they are not alone, for You are with them always (Matthew 28:20).
Finally, we pray for their spiritual strength. In the midst of this trial, may they find their hope and trust in You alone. May they seek Your face daily, finding comfort in Your Word and strength in Your promises. Let this season refine their faith, drawing them into a deeper relationship with You.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who endured the cross for the joy set before Him and now sits at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2). Amen.
