Stress

We join with you in bringing this burden of stress before the Lord and we ask Him to lift it from you and give you His peace. We understand how heavy stress can feel when it weighs on the heart and mind, and we want you to know that God sees you and cares deeply about what you are carrying.

The Word reminds us to bring everything to Him in prayer. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And 1 Peter 5:7 says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Psalm 55:22 says Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. Jesus Himself invites us in Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. And He promises in John 14:27 Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you, not as the world gives, give I to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.

We also gently point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to call upon His name today, confess your sin and need for Him, believe He died for you and rose again, and follow Him as Lord.

We now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who is stressed and weary. Lord You know the source of this stress and the weight it brings. We ask You to remove what is not from You and to replace anxiety with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Teach this dear one to cast every care on You because You care for them. Give rest to their mind and heart, calm their thoughts, and guard them in Christ Jesus. Help them to bring every concern to You in prayer with thanksgiving and to trust Your faithful care day by day. Draw them closer to Jesus, and if they do not yet know Him as Savior, reveal Your love and draw them to salvation through Him. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, strengthen their faith, and sustain them by Your grace. We ask that You help them to rest in Your promises, to walk in Your peace, and to experience Your sustaining power. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily through prayer and reading His Word, to bring each worry to Him honestly, and to rest in His care. When stress rises, turn it into prayer and thank Him that He is with you and will sustain you. If there are practical pressures that can be eased, seek godly counsel and wise rhythms of rest and work as the Lord leads you. We are praying that the Lord will remove this stress and fill you with His calm and strength as you trust in Jesus.

We hear you, and we are glad you reached out honestly about the stress you are carrying. Feeling wound up and worn down does not mean you have failed, it often means you have been carrying a lot for a long time without much margin to rest.

We have seen how stress rarely comes from just one thing. It builds as pressures, worries, tiredness and responsibilities stack up, and it can leave us feeling helpless or stuck. You asked the Lord to remove this stress, and we join you in asking Him for relief and for wisdom for the days ahead.

One small step that often helps when everything feels heavy is to pause and name what is pressing on you most right now, then share it with one trusted person. Whether that is a pastor, a counselor, or a faithful friend, bringing it into the light with someone who can listen and walk with you can make the load feel less isolating. If the stress is affecting your sleep, health, or daily life, it is also wise to talk with your doctor or counselor alongside prayer.

Father, we bring our friend to You and ask for Your gentle care over them today. Give rest where there is weariness, calm where there is worry, and wisdom for each next decision. Help them sense You near and guide them to supportive people and help as they need it. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your short cry is one that many of the Lord's people have uttered, and it is not unheard in heaven. To be pressed with care, to feel the mind wearied and the spirit burdened, is a common lot in this dark world of sin and sorrow.

You ask the Lord to remove this stress, and we join our prayer with yours, but we would point you to the way in which the Lord most often gives His deliverance. It is not merely by taking the burden away, but by giving a peace within which can stand firm even while duties throng and sorrows surge around. The prophet has said, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee. That is peace, peace, a double peace, perfect peace, kept for you and in you as you look away from the trouble and look unto Christ.

Have you not found that the very anxiety which comes through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. It is the mind which is the main thing, it will bring you daylight or midnight, peace or war. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, not because the world outside is calm, but because sin is pardoned and the soul is reconciled to God. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. This is not a mere lull of anxiety or a blindness to danger, but a living peace which flows like a river in unceasing activity, the very peace of Christ Himself when He said, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you.

Do not seek after peace first. Seek after Christ first, and peace will come next. He is our peace. Not your prayers or your tears, but He Himself, by His precious blood which made a full atonement, is the foundation for peace between God and your soul. When the heart is stayed upon Him, when you bear your sorrow with Him and cast all your care upon Him, you will find on Jesus' bosom nothing but calm is found.

We pray for you now, that the God of Peace, who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus through the blood of the everlasting covenant, would bless you with peace. May He quiet your distracted thoughts, stay your mind upon His faithful promises, and fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost. May He teach you to go in peace, to do your daily duties with a holy calm, and to prove that even with cares pressing round, the peace of God which passeth all understanding shall keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request about the stress that weighs on you has been heard and we are praying for you before the Lord.

The Scripture shows that anxiety is like thorns that choke the word and like a wave that can overwhelm a small boat. When cares multiply they can crowd out peace and make the heart unfruitful. That is why the Lord does not leave you to carry this burden alone.

Jesus himself calls out, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. He does not say he will only forgive, but that he will place you in security and give rest to your soul. This is the rest that remains for the people of God, and it is found not in the absence of trouble but in nearness to Christ.

We pray that the God of love and peace will be with you, and that the peace of God which passes all understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. This is the peace Christ left to his disciples, the peace that the Church continually pronounces because it is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy.

Cast your cares upon him, for he cares for you. Bring your requests to God in prayer with thanksgiving, and ask him not only to lift the weight of stress but to root out what feeds it, to calm your thoughts, and to teach you to rest in his provision day by day. If there are habits, worries, or burdens you have been carrying alone, bring them into the light, seek counsel in the Church, and let the word have room to grow without being choked.

We ask the Lord to lift this stress from you, to quiet your heart, to give you sleep and strength, and to fill you with his peace as you trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation and life. May he guide you to live in peace with all, to seek holiness, and to know that you are kept in his love.

We will continue to pray that you will know his rest and his nearness in the days ahead.
