Strengthened

We hear your heart's cry to be established, strengthened and settled, and we join with you in seeking the Lord for this very work in your life. This is the heart of God for His children, and we are reminded of His promise in 1 Peter 5:10, But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. It is God Himself who does this work, not our own striving, and He does it by His grace after seasons of trial and waiting to make us firm and immovable in Him.

We pray that you would be rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving as Colossians 2:7 teaches. To be established means to be built on the solid foundation of Christ and His Word, not shifting with circumstances. To be strengthened is to be empowered in your inner being by the Holy Spirit, for Ephesians 3:16 says that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person. To be settled means to be grounded, at peace, and secure in His love and purpose, guarded from the evil one because 2 Thessalonians 3:3 declares But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one. We also cling to Isaiah 41:10 where the Lord says Dont you be afraid, for I am with you. Dont be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we gently want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved and strengthened. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We cannot be truly established or settled apart from faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again so that we might have eternal life and a firm foundation. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus as Lord and Savior, believing on His name and surrendering your life to Him, for then His strength becomes your strength.

So together we pray in Jesus name. Father, we lift up this dear one to You in the mighty name of Jesus. We ask that You Yourself would perfect, establish, strengthen and settle them according to Your perfect will. Grant them power through Your Spirit in their inner being, build them up on the rock of Christ, and make their feet firm on Your Word. Where there has been weariness, bring Your supernatural strength. Where there has been uncertainty or shaking, bring Your establishment and peace that passes all understanding. Guard them from the evil one, uphold them with Your righteous right hand, and let them know they are rooted and secure in Your love. Teach them to abide in You daily through prayer and Your Word, so that their strength is renewed and their heart is settled in You. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily, to dwell in His Word and to trust that He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you. He who has called you is faithful and He will do it, and we stand with you believing that you will be strengthened and settled for His glory.

We hear the deep desire in your few words, to not just get through, but to be made steady, strong and settled in your walk with the Lord. We are praying with you for that kind of rootedness.

One thing that has helped us is remembering that being established is more like training than trying. Like preparing for a long race, strength builds gradually through small, faithful steps over time, with highs and lows along the way. It is a lifelong process, and God is patient in it. He does the establishing, and we get to keep showing up with Him.

In that process, a few simple rhythms matter most, spending time honestly in the Word, bringing your heart to God in prayer, and staying close to other believers in worship and fellowship. And we have found there is no single formula. God made each of us uniquely, so the conditions that help one person grow may look a little different for another. The Holy Spirit is the one who makes growth happen as we stay near to Him.

If it helps, consider choosing just one small, steady practice for this season rather than trying to do everything at once. Maybe a brief, consistent time each day in Scripture and prayer, and making worship with others a regular anchor. Small faithfulness over time is often how God settles us.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. Establish them, strengthen them, and settle them in Your love. Draw them close each day, give them peace as they wait on You, and make their roots go deep in Christ. Lead them step by step and keep them in Your care. Amen.

Your longing to be established, strengthened and settled is a prayer that Scripture itself puts upon the lips of the believer. The apostle Peter writes, But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

We have brought your request before the Lord and we join our hearts with yours in asking Him to do this very work in you.

Only that which is of God will be established. The greatest works of men without God are not established, but what is done for God and wrought by His Spirit He will establish. So we pray that the work of His grace in your soul, your witness for Jesus and your labour for Him, may be made firm and lasting, not by your own power but by His.

You are not alone in needing strength. Even our Lord in His weakness in Gethsemane was strengthened by a messenger from heaven, and He knows how to strengthen His people in their hour of secret sorrow and trial. The time for such special ministry is not over, for He still gives power to the faint and to them that have no might He increases strength.

This strengthening comes through faith. Faith is the shield which quenches the fiery darts of the wicked one, faith is the hand that drops down into the strong arms of Christ and trusts Him wholly. Even little faith is true faith and precious faith when it begins and ends with Jesus, and that faith which is the gift of God He is able to make strong. Where there is the root of faith we ask the Lord for the growth of faith, that you may be strong in faith, giving glory to God, and that your faith may not fail.

Therefore we pray for you, that the Lord would keep what He has put within you, that Christ may be formed in you the hope of glory, and that as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord so you may walk in Him in daily action and perseverance.

We pray that the God of all grace would perfect you in every good work, stablish you upon the Rock that cannot be moved, strengthen you with might by His Spirit in the inner man to stand against temptation and to rejoice under tribulation, and settle you in a steadfast peace, rooted and grounded in Christ, till your life and walk bring glory to Him. May He answer according to your faith, and may His established work be seen in you to His praise.

We will continue to remember you before the throne of grace.
