We hear the weariness in your words, and our hearts ache with you as you face these relentless challenges. The weight of life’s burdens can feel crushing when they come all at once, but we stand with you in faith, knowing that our God is not a God of confusion, but of peace, strength, and order. The enemy may seek to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Let us not grow faint, for though the battle is real, the victory is already won.
First, we must address the spiritual reality of what you are experiencing. When trials come in waves, it is often a sign that the enemy is resisting the work God is doing in and through you. The apostle Paul reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12). This is not a time to shrink back, but to stand firm in the armor of God, truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). You are in a spiritual battle, and the weapons of your warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4).
We also want to gently remind you that God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). Though you do not understand why these trials have come, we can trust that God is working all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Even in the midst of hardship, He is shaping your character, deepening your faith, and preparing you for greater things. The testing of your faith produces perseverance, and perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing (James 1:3-4).
Now, let us lift up your husband’s endeavors in prayer, for we know that the labor of a righteous man is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). We also pray for your farm, your home, and every area of your life that feels under siege. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach Your throne. Lord, we ask that You would be a shield around this family, a fortress in their time of trouble. Strengthen their hands when they grow weak, renew their hope when it falters, and remind them that You are their ever-present help (Psalm 46:1).
We rebuke every spirit of despair, lack, and confusion that has come against them. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we ask that You would open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings upon their farm, bless the work of their hands, the soil, the crops, and the livestock. Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). For their home, we pray for peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), unity in marriage, and joy that remains even in trials.
We also pray for supernatural strength for this family. When they are weak, let them find Your strength made perfect in their weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Remind them that those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). It is written, "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength." You confess your strength is failing; this is the very hour to learn that the strength of man is nothing, but with God in him, hell trembles. Your farm and home and life seem under assault, yet trials must be expected by believers. You may go through fire and through water, but He has declared you shall not be overwhelmed nor consumed. The Lord suits the help to the hindrance and puts the plaster on the wound. In your weakness, you are learning the great strength of the Lord.
You ask for your husband’s endeavors to be blessed. The glory of his strength must never lie in his own skill or labor, but in God alone. The way of childlike trust in providential guidance is the path where safety is guaranteed. He that does business in great waters becomes a hardy seaman; so trial works a spiritual hardihood that cannot be learned in ease. His labor is not beneath the notice of the Most High, and in reliance upon Christ, the blessing comes.

You feel your farm and home besieged, and your strength failing. Why this happens, you do not understand. But consider: when our earthly supports multiply, we easily forget that every good gift comes from God alone. In His jealousy for your love, He may permit these trials so that you seek His face and not the comfort of your barns.
You pray for your husband’s endeavors to be blessed, and that is right, but see to it that those endeavors are rooted in righteousness, for the Lord’s blessing rests upon the work of the just. Do not look to your husband as your sole protector, as if by his success you are made safe. For this very thing, God often takes away what we clutch too tightly, that our hope might rest entirely in Him. The evil one indeed prowls about your home as a roaring lion, and he attacks most fiercely when he finds you isolated in your distress.
Do not face these afflictions alone. Frequent the assembly of the saints, pour out your heart in common prayer, and there find strength. You feel you are running out of endurance, but remember that the athlete is crowned only after he has resisted to the end. This present storm is permitted that you may lay hold of a greater and more enduring joy.
Cast away any murmuring, and let your conduct be with patience and gratitude, knowing that the Master allows nothing to befall His servants without purpose.
