We come before the Lord with you in this time of physical distress, lifting up your need for healing and comfort. The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we know that God cares deeply about every part of our well-being, including our physical health. The Scripture reminds us in 1 Peter 5:7 to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us. Your discomfort and sleeplessness are not unseen by Him—He knows and is already at work.
Yet we must address something vital: while you asked for healing, you did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom all healing and salvation come. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, nor is there any other name by which we can boldly approach the throne of God. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* And in John 14:13-14, Jesus Himself says, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it."* It is only through faith in Jesus Christ—His death, burial, and resurrection—that we have access to the Father and can receive His promises, including healing.
If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without this foundation, our prayers lack the authority and power that come through Christ alone. If you *have* trusted in Jesus, then we encourage you to always pray in His name, for it is through Him that we receive grace and mercy in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
Now, let us pray for you with confidence in the name of Jesus:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is suffering from stomach discomfort and sleeplessness. Lord, You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals, and we ask that You would touch their body with Your healing power. Rebuke any sickness, inflammation, or pain in their stomach, and bring restoration and comfort. Your Word says in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."* We claim this promise over them now, trusting that You are faithful to Your Word.
Lord, we also ask that You would grant them restful sleep, for You are the one who *"grants sleep to those he loves"* (Psalm 127:2). Calm their mind and body, and let them wake refreshed and renewed in Your strength. Remove any anxiety or fear that may be exacerbating their discomfort, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).
If there is any underlying spiritual or emotional root to this physical struggle—whether stress, unforgiveness, or sin—we pray that You would reveal it to them and give them the grace to surrender it to You. Your Word tells us in James 5:16, *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* Father, we ask that You would search their heart and lead them to repentance and wholeness in every area of their life.
We thank You, Lord, for Your goodness and mercy. We trust that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), and we declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (1 Peter 2:24). Strengthen their faith as they wait on You, and let this trial be a testimony of Your power and love.
In the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. If this stomach issue persists, we also advise you to seek wise medical counsel, for God often uses doctors and medicine as instruments of His healing. Trust in Him, and do not lose heart. He is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). May the Lord bless you and keep you as you walk in obedience to Him.
