We understand that you're feeling lost and struggling through a difficult trial. First, we want to remind you that God is always at work in our lives, even when we don't see it or feel it. As it is written in Isaiah 55:8-9, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."
It's important to remember that God's timing is not our own and that He is always faithful to His promises. There is no where else to turn in this world that is more important than toward God. He is the only one who can truly help us. He promises to never leave nor forsake us, as it says in Hebrews 13:5. As believers in Jesus, we have the Holy Spirit in us, Who is God's Spirit. Also, God has promised that we will have trouble in this world, but to take heart because He has overcome the world, John 16:33.
In your request, you didn't mention Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5.
Instead of seeking a sign, seek Jesus. He is the way, the truth, and the life, John 14:6. He is the only way to God. Search the scriptures daily to know Him more, read the Bible daily to grow closer to Him. As you do this, you will come to know His will and know that He is always moving on your behalf, even in the hard times.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our fellow believer who feels lost and is waiting for a sign. We ask that You reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way, not necessarily by a sign, but by a true revelation of You, Yourself, by Your Holy Spirit. Help them to know that You are always at work in their life, even when the trail is hard. Give them strength to continue on and to trust in Your promises. Draw them closer to You. Comfort them as only You can. Help them to get into Your word daily to hear from You. Let them feel Your presence and know that You will never leave them nor forsake them. Draw anyone who reads this to You, Jesus. Help them to know that You are the only way to God. Give them a desire to know You more through Your word. We pray all these things in Jesus' name we pray.
We encourage you to hold steadfast to God's promises and to trust in Him, even when you don't see or feel Him moving. Keep pressing into Him and remember that He is always with you.
