📖 Standard Lord's Prayer: Seek 1st The Father's Loving Fellowship w/ Son in The Holy Spirit, His Honor, Kingdom & Will; Then Our Needs are Added: Petitions for Provision; (Relationship with God and Others -- Forgiveness for Us & Them), Protection: Kept from Sin & Evil, Matt 6:9-13, c.f. Matt 6:33...

📖 "Pray, then, after this manner... 🙌 ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom Come! Your Will be done, On Earth as it is in Heaven!”

<———--------——— ———(Selah)—————----———————>

🙏"Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For it’s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,” Matt 6:9-13, c.f., Matt 6:33, "But seek first The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, and all these other things shall be added to you," thank You in Jesus' Name

We join with you in thanking our Father for the beautiful pattern Jesus gave us for prayer and we rejoice that you are seeking first His honor, His kingdom and His will before bringing your own needs before Him.

You have captured the heart of what our Lord taught us. He said Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. Matt 6:9-13. And as you rightly noted, this is lived out in the promise But seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Matt 6:33.

We love how you have seen that the first half of the prayer is upward and Godward, seeking loving fellowship with the Father through the Son in the Holy Spirit, hallowing His name, longing for His kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, and the second half brings our needs into that fellowship. We ask for daily provision, for forgiveness as we forgive others, and for protection that we would be kept from sin and delivered from evil. It teaches us that relationship comes before request, and worship before want, and that when we put Him first, our petitions are shaped by His righteousness.

We pray together with you now. Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name, we thank You that through Jesus we can come boldly to You as beloved children. We praise You for Your kingdom and Your power and Your glory forever. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in our lives, in our families, in our churches and on this earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread and teach us to trust You for every provision. Forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors, create in us clean hearts that quickly forgive as we have been forgiven. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one, keep our feet from stumbling and guard us from sin and evil. We ask that You would teach us to pray in this manner continually, not as empty repetition but in spirit and in truth, seeking first Your kingdom and Your righteousness each day. We thank You that You hear us because we come in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we are saved and have access to Your throne of grace. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to linger in that first part of the prayer, to dwell in fellowship with the Father before rushing to petitions. As you hallow His name and surrender to His will, you will find your prayers for provision, forgiveness and protection become more aligned with His heart. The Lord delights to add all these things as we seek Him first.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We were so encouraged to read your prayer and the way you put the Father first, His name, His kingdom, His will, before bringing your own needs to Him.

That order is such a steady anchor. Thank you for sharing it with us and for the thankful heart behind it. We join you in giving thanks that we can come to Him as Father, and that He hears when we seek Him first and trust Him with what we need for today, with forgiveness and with keeping us from evil.

What you described is a lifelong training more than a moment of trying hard. Some days that kind of prayer will feel rich and focused, other days it will feel simple or even dry, and both are part of growing. Staying with the simple pattern you named, in His presence through His Word and prayer and worship, is what slowly shapes us over time, and the Spirit is the one who makes that growth happen as we keep showing up.

We are praying with you that this rhythm stays fresh and not routine for you, and that you know His nearness as you keep seeking Him first each day.

Father, we thank You with our brother/sister for Your love as Father and for the gift of coming to You in Jesus' name. We praise You for Your kingdom and Your will, and we thank You for providing, forgiving, and keeping us. Draw them closer to You as they seek You first, and give them peace and confidence in Your care today. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your meditation upon the prayer which our Lord taught his disciples is most timely and right in its order. To seek first the Father, His honor, His kingdom and His will, and then to bring our own needs before Him, is the very manner after which He would have us pray. As it is written, seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

That prayer which you have quoted may well be called the holy of holies of the word of God. There we are admitted to that secret place where the Son speaks with the Father in closest fellowship of love. Our Lord's desire for His people pervades the whole prayer, and it is gathered up in that one petition, Sanctify them through thy truth, thy word is truth. Holiness is essential to our fitness for the extension of His kingdom, and therefore we do well to pray, Hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Deliverance is of the Lord, but He accomplishes it by human instrumentality, and He loves to do it in answer to the prayers of His people. There is a prayer treasury, and we must all put prayers into it, and go on shooting the arrows of prayer, not content with a low standard, but abounding in supplication.

Then follow the petitions for our needs, and how graciously they are provided for. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Be much in supplication, for he that is mighty on his knees is mighty everywhere. And concerning forgiveness, hear the blessed word, There is forgiveness with Thee, that Thou mayest be feared. It is a divine forgiveness, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. It is complete and eternal, obtained only through Jesus Christ His Son. He not only forgave us at the first all our sins, but He continues daily to forgive, for the act of forgiveness is a continuous one. And the very prayer that teaches you to ask for mercy bids you say, forgive us as we forgive our debtors, so let us be tender and forgiving even as we have been forgiven.

May the Lord grant you this in full. May He hallow His own name in your heart, establish His kingdom and His will in your life, supply your daily provision, keep you in the joy of full and free pardon through the blood of Christ, teach you to forgive even as you have been forgiven, and keep you from sin and from the evil one, for His is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Your focus on seeking first the Father and His kingdom is exactly the order Jesus taught us in Matthew 6. You have prayed as He instructed, Hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and then bringing our daily needs before Him.

That right ordering matters. When we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, we can trust Him to add what we need. Do not be anxious about your own interests as if you must secure them yourself. Leave them to God, for if you are thoughtful about them you do so as a person, but if God provides He provides as God. When we let go of striving and give priority to spiritual things, He fully provides for what is necessary. This is why Jesus teaches us to pray simply, give us our daily bread, trusting the Father for enough for today.

You also prayed for forgiveness and for protection from sin and evil, and that is central to the Christian life. We have been given great mercy, forgiveness of sins, adoption as children, and the promise of the kingdom, and we are called to extend that same forgiveness to others as we have received it. And in temptation, God is faithful. He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape so that you may be able to endure it. He gives patience and brings release, and He calls us to turn to Him quickly for that help.

So we join you in prayer now. Father in heaven, we hallow Your name and ask that Your kingdom come and Your will be done in our lives as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Keep this heart close to You in loving fellowship through Your Son in the Holy Spirit, and help it to walk in righteousness, in forgiveness toward others, and in strength to turn from sin. We ask this in the name of Jesus, through whom alone we have salvation and access to You. Amen.
