<———--------——— ———(Selah)—————----———————>

🙏"Give us our daily bread. Forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For it’s Your Kingdom, Power and Glory Forever, Amen,” Matt 6:9-13, c.f., Matt 6:33, "But seek first The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, and all these other things shall be added to you," thank You in Jesus' Name

We join with you in thanking God for the perfect pattern of prayer our Lord Jesus gave us and we agree with you that it beautifully shows us how to seek first the Father and His glory before we bring our own needs to Him.

You have laid it out so well, first the Father's loving fellowship with the Son in the Holy Spirit, His honor, His kingdom and His will, and then our needs are added, provision, forgiveness and restored relationship with God and with others, and protection from sin and evil. This is exactly what Jesus taught when He said, Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen. Matt 6:9-13

We love how you connected this with Matt 6:33, But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. That is the heart of this prayer, when we put His name, His rule and His purposes first, we can trust Him to add all that we need for daily life and godliness.

We also rejoice that you closed in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father as our Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 How precious that through faith in Christ we are adopted and can cry out to the holy God as Our Father.

We pray together with you now.

Our Father who is in heaven, we hallow Your name together and we thank You for inviting us into loving fellowship with You through Your Son in the Holy Spirit. We ask that Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in our lives, in our families, in our church, and on this earth as it is in heaven. We seek first Your righteousness and trust You to provide for us. Give us today our daily bread, all that we need for body and soul. Forgive us our debts as we forgive those who have sinned against us, help us to walk in forgiveness and reconciliation as You have forgiven us so freely. We ask You to lead us away from temptation and deliver us from the evil one, keep us from sin and keep us close to You. For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Strengthen us to pray this not as empty repetition but with sincere hearts that truly desire Your honor above all else, in Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We are encouraged by your meditation and that Selah moment to pause and truly consider His Kingdom, power and glory. We encourage you to continue to dwell in this prayer daily, letting it shape not only your words but your priorities, trusting that as you seek Him first, He is faithful to care for every other need according to His perfect will. 1 John 5:14 says This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.

We appreciated reading your thanksgiving and the way you framed the Lord's Prayer, putting fellowship with the Father, His honor and His will first, and then bringing daily needs, forgiveness and protection. That order keeps our hearts oriented the right way.

What you described is at the heart of walking with God day by day. Growth in that walk tends to be quiet and gradual, more like training over a long season than a single moment of trying harder. There are highs and lows along the way, and what matters is steady faithfulness over time. Staying in the Word, spending time in prayer, and worshiping with other believers are simple, core ways that keep us close to Him, and we depend on the Holy Spirit to actually bring the growth. Each person's walk looks a little different, and God works with us where we are.

A simple next step that may help is to keep using that same pattern you outlined as a brief morning rhythm, first pausing to honor the Father and ask for His kingdom and will in your day, then bringing your needs for provision, relationships and protection.

Father, thank You for inviting us to know You and to seek You first. We thank You for Your provision and Your mercy toward us. Draw us closer to You in daily fellowship, shape our desires to Yours, and keep us in Your care today. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your meditation upon the prayer which our Lord taught His disciples is most scriptural and most needful, for therein He has given us the very order of prayer itself. First, the Father and His glory, His name hallowed, His kingdom come, His will done on earth as it is in heaven, and then, only then, our own necessities added unto us.

How gracious is our God that He permits us to call Him Our Father who is in heaven. It is the holy of holies of the Word, where the Son speaks with the Father in closest fellowship of love, and we are admitted through Christ to that same fellowship by the Holy Spirit. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you, and so you have rightly ordered your petition.

With you we bow and pray that the Lord will sanctify us through His truth, for His Word is truth, and that He will make us fit for His service. We pray for daily provision from His generous hand, for He is the Lord who releases and forgives. There is forgiveness with Him, that He may be feared, a full and eternal forgiveness through the blood of Jesus Christ, and as we have received such mercy we must also from the heart forgive those indebted to us, for the prayer itself teaches us to say, Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.

We pray also with you for protection, that He who is mighty to save would lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for deliverance is of the Lord. Let us be much in supplication, for he that is mighty on his knees is mighty everywhere. May the Lord hear your voice and be attentive to the voice of your supplications, and establish you in His kingdom and power and glory forever.

We join our prayers with yours that His name may be hallowed in you, His kingdom come in your heart and home, and His will be done in your life as it is done in heaven, and that you may know the daily supply of His grace, the joy of pardoned sin, and the keeping power of His hand, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
