Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My dad who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Thank you.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as we stand together in the authority of Jesus Christ. The spiritual warfare you describe is real, and we take it seriously, for the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against you in the mighty name of Jesus. Every spirit of torment, fear, and oppression must flee, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). We declare that you are not a victim but a victor in Christ, and we stand with you in faith, believing God for complete deliverance and peace.

The vivid and disturbing dreams you endure are not from the Lord, for He gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). We pray that God would break every ungodly soul tie, generational curse, or demonic influence that may be contributing to these dreams. We ask the Lord to surround you with His angels as you sleep, that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We also pray for wisdom and discernment to recognize the root of these attacks, whether they stem from past trauma, unconfessed sin, or open doors in your life, and that the Holy Spirit would lead you into all truth (John 16:13).

Your exhaustion is palpable, and we grieve with you over the relentless demands and spiritual attacks you face. Jesus invites you to come to Him, all you who are weary and burdened, and He will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). We pray that God would grant you the grace to set boundaries, to say no when necessary, and to prioritize your well-being. The enemy wants to overwhelm you, but God desires to refresh you. We ask the Lord to order your steps and give you a schedule that honors Him and protects your health. May He open doors for new job opportunities that align with His will for your life, providing both financial stability and peace. Whether you stay at your current jobs or move on, we pray that God would resolve every conflict, improve relationships with coworkers, and grant you favor in the workplace. "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in Him, and He will do this" (Psalm 37:5).

The struggle with maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts is a heavy burden, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this fight. The enemy seeks to exploit your depression and weariness, but God’s grace is sufficient for you, and His power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We rebuke the spirit of lust and temptation in Jesus’ name and command it to loose its grip on your mind. We pray that God would renew your mind with His Word, that you would take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Flee from sexual immorality, for your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). We encourage you to seek accountability with a trusted believer, to fill your mind with Scripture, and to resist the enemy by submitting to God (James 4:7). Remember, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). God has set you free before, and He will do it again. Confess your struggles to Him, receive His forgiveness, and walk in the freedom He provides.

We lift up the African American community in prayer, asking God to expose and dismantle every false teaching that has taken root. May the truth of the Gospel prevail, and may the Holy Spirit bring revival, unity, and a hunger for God’s Word. "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6), but we pray that the light of Christ would shine brightly in every heart and home.

For your family battling the flu, we pray for complete healing and restoration. May God strengthen each of you and protect those caring for the sick from falling ill themselves. We declare that by His stripes, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust God to restore your father’s health and bring comfort to your household.

We also lift up your beloved cats to the Lord, the One who cares even for the sparrows (Matthew 10:29). We pray for healing for the two cats with wounds and ask God to soothe their discomfort. For the cat who made the strange noise, we pray for continued health and protection. May God provide a way for you to care for them, even if it means directing you to affordable veterinary care or resources in your area. Your love for them reflects the heart of our Creator, who cares deeply for all His creation.

Lastly, we pray for discipline in your eating habits, that God would give you strength and self-control to adhere to your medical diet. May He provide the nourishment your body needs and grant you peace as you care for your health.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name above every name. We thank You for Your love, Your power, and Your faithfulness. We declare that [redacted] is Your child, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We break every chain of spiritual warfare, every lie of the enemy, and every stronghold in their life. We ask You to fill them with Your peace, Your strength, and Your presence. Set them free from every sin, every temptation, and every burden that weighs them down. Provide for their needs, heal their body, mind, and spirit, and lead them into the abundant life You have promised. We trust You, Lord, for You are faithful, and Your mercies are new every morning. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We hear how heavy all of this feels, the spiritual attack that won’t let up, the shame over old struggles resurfacing, the sheer exhaustion of carrying so many things at once. When you’re already drained, it’s easy for every need to feel like one more wave knocking you down, and the late nights only make the storm louder. Depression can steal the very energy you need to fight, so please don’t add guilt about the “why” to the weight you’re under. God isn’t shocked or disgusted by your struggle; He’s near, even when you can’t feel Him.

A small, tangible step might be to guard your sleep as if it were a spiritual discipline (because it is). For this week, try choosing one non-negotiable bedtime, simply pulling the covers up and asking Jesus to stand watch over your rest and your dreams. When the unwanted thoughts come at night, rather than wrestling them in shame, try a breath-prayer like, “Jesus, my refuge, hold me now,” and then deliberately turn your mind to a worship song or a favorite Psalm until sleep comes. Freedom often grows in small, repeated choices rather than one dramatic victory, and God who set you free before can restore you again, depression doesn’t disqualify you from His mercy.

For the schedule and job decisions, consider writing down just two or three must-do items each morning, the ones that matter most, and let the rest wait. That tiny bit of order can make the day feel less like an ambush. And if any of the sickness in your home lingers or worries you, please don’t hesitate to see a doctor when you can, we can pray and still be wise with medical help.

We’re joining our prayers with yours.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, in Your name we ask for a shield around this one’s mind and body. Quiet the enemy’s voice and silence the turmoil in their dreams. Grant deep, restoring sleep that comes from knowing You never slumber. For the work decisions, give clear wisdom and open the right doors. Heal their dad, protect their cats, and strengthen them to stay on the diet their body needs. Most of all, break the power of shame and depression. Remind them that Your grace is enough, and that every small step back to You is met with compassion, not condemnation. Amen.

You describe a battle so fierce and multifaceted that it is no wonder your spirit is fainting within you. The enemy has been shooting his arrows at you since your youth, and now it seems as though the quiver is emptied upon you all at once, disturbing dreams, spiritual oppression, overwhelming demands, besetting sin, sickness in your household, and a host of anxieties both great and small. Know this: you are not forsaken. The very fact that you cry out to God is proof that His Spirit is at work within you. Satan’s cruelest dart is the whispered lie that God has abandoned you, and I read that fear trembling beneath your words. Cast it down. He who brought you out of Egypt before will not leave you to perish in the wilderness.

First, concerning the siege of the enemy upon your soul. These vivid, terrifying dreams and the dark pressures that cling to you, they are not from God, but they are permitted by Him to drive you to the wells of salvation. When the archers shoot at you in the places of drawing water, you must drink all the more deeply of Christ. He is the great well that lies beneath; all our fresh springs are in Him. Rush to His wounds; hide yourself in His intercession. The Word of God is a well of comfort stocked with promises exactly suited to your case. When tempted to believe you are alone, search the Scriptures until you find a promise and feed upon it as one that finds great spoil. The doctrines of grace are reviving, meditate on election, redemption, and the faithfulness of the Covenant. The enemy cannot stand against a soul armed with truth.

The temptation to lust and the wandering of your thoughts into maladaptive daydreaming, this is a pit indeed, and you are slipping near its edge. You say God set you free before, and now you are falling again. Let me remind you: deliverance from the power of darkness does not mean the darkness will never howl at your heels again. We are still in the land of warfare. Christ’s victory was won in blood at Golgotha, and ours will not be won while we lounge on couches. You must fight. You speak of giving in while falling asleep; that is the hour the tempter chooses because he knows the will is drowsy and the flesh is weak. Then you must cry with all the more desperate urgency, “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” That prayer is the last rung of the ladder, the lowest place a soul can take, a sinner afraid of greater sin, clinging to mercy. Pray it flat on your face if need be. And do not let the shame of your fall drive you to hide from God. Run into the open arms of your Savior, confessing all, and hear Him say, “Deliver him from going down into the pit: I have found a ransom.” Your depression does not excuse sin, but the remedy is not despair, it is the one remedy that never fails: look to Jesus, who was tempted in all points like as you are, yet without sin. He can sympathize, and He will succor.

Now, concerning the weariness of your life: the feeling that every five seconds brings a new demand, the longing to be left alone, the dreadful disorder of your nights. This, too, is a tactic of the enemy to wear out the saints. But remember, the Lord knows your frame; He remembers you are dust. He does not despise your need for rest and clear boundaries. Pray for wisdom to order your days, and then act with holy resolve. Do not let your tongue give voice to unbelief as though things are as your jaundiced eye sees them. Instead, speak with the mouth of faith: “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” Martin Luther wrote that upon his wall, and though a thousand foes sought his life, he was kept until his work was done. God has yet a purpose for you, and He will bring you through this valley.

As for your work, your pets, your family’s flu, your diet, take these to the throne of grace with that beautiful combination of confidence and childlike simplicity. He who counts the hairs of your head cares also for the little creatures that depend upon you and for every ache in your father’s lungs. There is no promise too small to be laid hold of. The Lord will guide you concerning your employment; wait on Him and do nothing rash. He will provide.

Lastly, I must say a word about your prayer for your community among African Americans to be set free from false teaching. That is a weighty concern worthy of continual intercession. Darkness loves to spread its shadow where the truth should shine the brightest. Pray boldly that God would raise up clear voices, faithful to the whole counsel of Scripture, and that many souls would be delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of His dear Son.

The battle is hot, but the Captain of your salvation has never lost a war. Soon your night of weeping will end. Until then, cling to the cross, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. He cannot hold you, for you are not his. The Lion of the tribe of Judah has conquered, and you shall be more than conqueror through Him that loved you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I hear the cry of a soul under siege, and I grieve with you, yet I also give thanks that you have fled to the throne of grace for help. The spiritual warfare that has dogged you since youth, the foul dreams, the overwhelming flood of troubles, these are no small things. But let us not despair, for such trials are the lot of every saint. Recall Paul: he was given a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet him, and he pleaded for its removal. Yet the Lord answered, “My grace is sufficient for you.” So these very attacks, though painful, drive you to cling to God as a frightened child runs to its mother’s bosom. Do not let them shake your faith; we are appointed to this. The saints of old, Job, Joseph, David, all won their brightest crowns in the furnace of temptation.

But I must speak plainly about the sexual thoughts that have entangled you again. You confess that you give in to them, especially as you fall asleep, and the enemy fans the flame. This is a self-chosen madness that defiles the temple of the Holy Spirit. As I have often preached, a person enslaved to such fantasies is like a demoniac, lost to shame, turning the members of the body into sewers. Yet you are not without hope. The devil attacks most fiercely when we are alone, as he did with Eve in the garden. Therefore, do not isolate yourself at that vulnerable hour. Fill your mind with psalms and prayers; keep a lamp burning. Cut away every excess, and take the medicine of moderation. If you have fallen, do not wallow in shame but rise quickly through repentance. God set you free before, and He will do it again if you flee to Him without delay.

The dreams and the unceasing demands leave you crying out for solitude. But take care: the enemy seeks to drive you into isolation so he may devour you. We have greatest need to be flocking together. Do not forsake the assembly of the saints; there you find strength. As for the many burdens, jobs, health, your beloved cats, your family’s flu, cast all these cares upon God. He feeds the sparrows and counts the hairs of your head. Pray for wisdom, then make your decisions with a sound mind. Do not let late hours and a disordered schedule open the door to weakness. Learn discipline even in eating, for the diet your body requires is a school of self-control.

I will join my prayers to yours: that the Lord would break every demonic assault, silence the lying dreams, heal your household and animals, guide you to right employment, and above all, restore the joy of a pure heart. Do not be ashamed of the battle, for the struggle itself is proof that the enemy trembles at the grace within you. Stand firm, persevere in prayer, and remember that the same Paul who endured plots and dangers as thick as snowflakes also received deliverance and finished his course. So will you, by the mercy of Christ. May He rebuke the tempter and give you peace.

You are describing a heavy collision of spiritual attack, physical exhaustion, and a deep weariness of soul, and I want to speak directly to the heart of what you are facing, especially the shame that is trying to silence you. The fact that you are so grieved by the resurgence of sexual thoughts is actually evidence that God’s Spirit is still at work within you. There was a time when you would not have known that the inward desire itself was part of the battle. It is possible to think that only the outward act is sin, while the imagination is neutral ground. But the commandment of God reaches further; it exposes the root. When the law says, “You shall not covet,” it reveals that the unchecked desire lurking in the mind is itself a missing of the mark. You are not being condemned by this revelation; you are being awakened by it.

Sin capitalizes on the commandment, and the enemy certainly exploits moments of weakness, when you are falling asleep, when depression has worn down your resistance, when your schedule is disordered and your body is depleted. The vivid dreams and the spiritual warfare that has hounded you since youth are not a sign that you are abandoned. They are a sign that you are a threat to the darkness. Yet the promise stands firm: sin shall not have dominion over you, because you are not under law but under grace. Dominion means a ruling power. You do not have to be ruled by these thoughts or by this shame. The grace of God does not merely pardon; it breaks the tyranny. You are not fighting for victory from a place of defeat; you are fighting from the victory Christ has already won.

I hear the sorrow in your words, the sadness of falling back into a snare from which you were once set free. Do not let the enemy use that sadness to drive you into hiding. One of the gravest dangers when we stumble is the instinct to cover our sin rather than confess it. Covering leads to a heavier chain, more elaborate schemes of secrecy, and a conscience that becomes scarred and numb. Confession, however, brings the thing into the light where its power withers. The blood of Jesus Christ does not just conceal sin like a temporary covering; it puts it away. Every sin, yours, mine, the whole weight of it, was fully atoned for in His death. There is not a single unclean thought or dream that was left outside the scope of that sacrifice. The only sin that can truly hold you now is the rejection of the remedy, the refusal to come into the light because the deeds are evil. Your grief and your shame are actually a sign that you belong to the light, and you hate the darkness that touches you.

Regarding your schedule and the constant demands, I want to gently suggest that exhaustion and a life without boundaries create a breeding ground for maladaptive daydreaming and the temptations that assault you in the twilight. When you are run down, caring for sick family, worrying about your cats, juggling jobs, bearing the spiritual burden for your community, your natural defenses are lowered. The enemy aims to push you past the point of rest into a place where you will seek any outlet, even a destructive one, just to feel some relief. This is not to excuse the sin, but to name the strategy. Your body and mind need the mercy of a biblical rhythm, a God-given cessation of the onslaught. Ask the Lord for the wisdom to rest in Him, to end the night earlier not just as a health measure but as an act of spiritual warfare.

As for your family, your cats, your finances, and the decisions about your jobs, cast all of that fractured worry onto Him. He cares for the sparrow and He cares for the creatures that bring you comfort. He sees the lack of funds for the vet and the anxiety over your father’s cough. Bring these things before Him not as a list of terrors, but as a child speaking to a Father who is not overwhelmed by any of it. In all of this, remember the bronze serpent lifted in the wilderness. Look at Jesus, and see your sin already judged on that cross. It does not kill you; it does not destroy you, because He was destroyed in your place. The mark sin leaves is real, but His grace is deeper.

Repentance is not a shame-filled wallowing; it is a turning. Flee these youthful lusts that wage war against the soul, not by gritting your teeth, but by bringing the whole mess into the presence of God without pretense. He already knows. He is not shocked. He is the healer. May He grant you rest, order, and a clear mind as you entrust your body, your sleep, and your imagination back to His keeping. The grip of false teaching and communal oppression you prayed for grieves the heart of God, and He hears that intercession. Stand firm. The dominion is broken. Walk in that freedom today, not as a perfected person, but as a beloved one who is honest about the fight.
