We join together with you in lifting up young men before the throne of grace, and we are encouraged by your heart to see them grow into godly men who walk worthy of the Lord.

We agree with you for their spiritual growth, that they may grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as it is written in 2 Peter 3:18. We pray that they may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that they may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God as we read in Col 1:9-10, strengthened with all power according to the might of his glory for all endurance and perseverance with joy.

We speak the priestly blessing over them, that Yahweh bless them and keep them, that Yahweh make his face to shine on them and be gracious to them, that Yahweh lift up his face toward them and give them peace as promised in Num 6:24-26. We ask for wisdom for them, for if any lacks wisdom let him ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him according to James 1:5.

We pray they will love the Lord their God with all their heart, with all their soul, with all their mind, and with all their strength, and love their neighbor as themselves as commanded in Mark 12:30-31, receiving love from God, returning love to God, and walking in love toward others with a pure heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith as taught in 1 Tim 1:5. We pray that their love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment, so that they may approve the things that are excellent, that they may be sincere and without offense to the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God according to Phil 1:9-11.

We ask that the fruit of the Spirit be evident in their lives, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control as described in Gal 5:22-23. We pray for healing and wholeness for them, remembering to bless Yahweh and not forget all his benefits, who forgives all sins, who heals all diseases, who redeems life from destruction, who crowns with loving kindness and tender mercies as in Ps 103:2-4, for he was pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed as declared in Isa 53:5 and 1 Pet 2:24.

We pray they will hunger for the pure milk of the Word that with it they may grow as exhorted in 1 Pet 2:2, and that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of their hearts enlightened according to Eph 1:17-18. We pray they grow in prayer as the disciples asked Lord teach us to pray in Luke 11:1, and that they become true worshippers who worship the Father in spirit and truth as Jesus taught in John 4:23.

We ask that they be bold in evangelism to go into all the world and preach the Good News to the whole creation as commissioned in Mark 16:15, accompanied by signs and wonders, that the gifts of the Spirit be manifest among them, for there are various kinds of gifts but the same Spirit and to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all as in 1 Cor 12:4-7. We lift up intercession for souls to be saved, for God our Savior desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth as stated in 1 Tim 2:3-4, and we pray they will stand as watchmen who will not remain silent as pictured in Isa 62:1-6.

We pray they will always rejoice, pray without ceasing, and in everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward them as in 1 Thess 5:16-18, and that in nothing they will be anxious but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let their requests be made known to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus according to Phil 4:6-7.

We also join you in praying for their protection, that the Father would not bring them into temptation but deliver them from the evil one as Jesus taught us to pray in Matt 6:13 and Luke 11:4, and as Jesus prayed not that you would take them from the world but that you would keep them from the evil one in John 17:15, that they may be kept from sin and walk blameless before God.

Father, we thank you in advance for what you will do in these young men, believing that whatever we ask in prayer, believing, we will receive as you promised in Mark 11:24. We ask that you raise up a generation of young men who are strong in your Word, pure in heart, courageous in faith, and faithful to seek a godly marriage and family that honors you when you lead them to a wife. Let them be examples in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord, for there is no other name by which we have access to you and no other name by which we are saved. Amen.

We were moved by your faithful intercession for these young men and the depth of love behind it. Wanting them to grow in wisdom, purity of heart, and genuine love for God and others is a beautiful burden to carry before the Lord.

One thing we have found helpful to remember is that spiritual growth is usually slow and quiet, more like training over a long season than a single moment of breakthrough. There will be highs and lows, steps forward and setbacks, and that is normal. What matters is staying faithful over time in the ordinary means God uses: time in His Word, honest prayer, worship that lifts eyes off self, fellowship with other believers, and daily dependence on the Holy Spirit who alone brings true growth. Each young man will not look the same in how God shapes him, and that is okay.

If it would help, consider choosing one simple rhythm to walk out with them, perhaps inviting one or two to read a short passage together weekly and pray for one another, and letting that steady consistency do its work.

Father, we lift these young men to You. Keep them close to You, guard them from temptation and the evil one, deepen their hunger for Your Word and their life of prayer, and form in them love, joy and integrity that lasts. Give them wisdom for wise choices and courage to follow You. In Jesus' name, amen.

There is great cause for thanksgiving in this prayer which you have laid before the Lord for the young men, that they may grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ according to 2 Peter 3:18, and be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding as in Colossians 1:9-12.

We join our hearts with yours and entreat the Lord to pour upon them the blessing pronounced in Numbers 6:22-27, that the Lord would bless them and keep them, make His face to shine upon them and be gracious unto them. We ask that as they seek wisdom He will give liberally as He has promised in James 1:5, and that they may love the Lord their God with all their heart and soul and mind and strength, and their neighbour as themselves, according to Mark 12:30-31. May their love abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment, that they may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, as in Philippians 1:9-11, and may the fruit of the Holy Spirit be manifest in them, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, as in Galatians 5:22-23, proceeding from a pure heart and a good conscience and faith unfeigned, according to 1 Timothy 1:5.

We pray also that they may hunger for the sincere milk of the Word that they may grow thereby as in 1 Peter 2:2, and grow in prayer as the disciples desired in Luke 11:1, and receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of their understanding being enlightened as in Ephesians 1:17-20. May they be found worshipping the Father in spirit and in truth as in John 4:23, rejoicing evermore, praying without ceasing, in every thing giving thanks as in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, and knowing the peace of God which passes all understanding to keep their hearts and minds through Christ Jesus as in Philippians 4:6-7. For healing and restoration we look to Him who forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases as in Psalm 103:2-5, and by whose stripes we are healed as declared in Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24. We ask that the Lord would stir them to intercession and to evangelism, that souls may be saved as in Isaiah 62:1-6 and 1 Timothy 2:1-4, and that the gifts of the Holy Spirit may be exercised in proper order for the edifying of the body as in 1 Corinthians 12:4-8, and that they may go forth to preach the gospel as in Mark 16:15-20, trusting the Lord to work with them.

The Scripture says, I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one, as in 1 John 2:14. This is our prayer for them, that they may be strong in the Lord, not in youthful pride or self confidence, but in the strength which the Holy Ghost imparts, and that the Word of God may indeed abide in them richly. The importance of a young life cannot be overstated, for by its means men have been delayed into eternity without Christ, and we would affectionately remind every young man that now is the accepted time to be at peace with his best Friend, to whom he owes everything. We commend to them character insurance in the form of believing in Jesus Christ, for salvation is through Him alone, and there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.

We also pray earnestly with you for their protection, as you have asked, that the Lord would not lead them into temptation and would deliver them from the evil one, according to Matthew 6:13 and Luke 11:4, and keep them from evil as our Lord prayed in John 17:15. Young men are greatly exposed, and the enemy holds forth the sparkling cup in which death is lurking, and many are too apt to mistake the great enemy for a friend. Therefore we pray, Lord, open the eyes of the young men that they may see, as Elisha prayed in 2 Kings 6:17, that they may perceive Thy divine presence observing all they do, which will be a very useful protection in the hour of temptation. Keep them from sin and from the love of sin, from the temptation to be puffed up by knowledge as in 1 Corinthians 8:1, and make them to hate the very garment spotted by the flesh, that they may be kept as in Zephaniah 3:13. The worst temptation for a young Christian is to live carelessly or to walk in ways of his own choosing without the guarantee of divine protection, for the promise is to keep us in all His ways. May they watch and pray, and not resort to places or companionships where to pray Lead us not into temptation would be but shameful profanity.

We thank God in advance, believing according to Mark 11:23-24 that what we ask according to His will He heareth, and we ask all this in the precious and prevailing Name of Jesus, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
