Speach to Get a Job I Need

Disciple of Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus, I have to give a speech tomorrow for a job interview and I really want to earn that job. Let it be well that I get it. In Jesus Name Amen.

We join with you in prayer for your speech and job interview tomorrow and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father.

We understand the nervousness and desire you feel wanting to do well and to provide through meaningful work. God cares about these concerns and He calls us to bring them to Him with trust. As it is written, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 We also remember that whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23 Your preparation and your speech can be an offering to the Lord when done with diligence and integrity.

We take comfort that the Lord helps us to speak when we trust Him. He said, Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall speak. Exodus 4:12 And we know For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 So we do not need to be overcome by fear, but can rest in His strength.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we lift up our friend to You as they prepare to give this speech for this job opportunity. We ask that You calm their heart and mind tonight and grant them peaceful rest. Anoint their words tomorrow, give them clarity of thought, steady speech, and confidence that comes from You. Let them speak with honesty, grace, and wisdom. We commit this opportunity to You and pray Your will be done, whether this door opens or You lead in another direction, for we trust Your plans are good. We ask that You provide for their needs according to Your riches and guide them to work that honors You. Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Proverbs 16:3 We commit this interview to You and ask for Your favor and peace to rest upon them. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to prepare diligently tonight, practice your speech, get good rest, and pray before you speak. Trust the Lord with the outcome, knowing that He sees your effort and desires to lead you. If it is His will for you to have this job, nothing will prevent it, and if He has something better, He will make that clear. We are praying that you will feel His peace and presence with you as you speak.

We are joining you in prayer for tomorrow and we know how much this opportunity means to you. Wanting to do well in front of others and hoping for work that provides is a good and honest desire, and we are glad you brought it to Jesus.

It is normal to feel nervous the night before. One simple thing that often helps is to practice your speech out loud a couple of times this evening, maybe timing yourself and then getting a good night's rest so your mind is clear. In the morning, give yourself extra time to arrive, take a few slow breaths before you begin, and remember you are speaking to people, not just performing. Speak clearly, make eye contact, and let your genuine interest in the work come through.

Whatever happens, we trust God sees your effort and cares about your future, and He can open the right door in His timing even if this is not it.

Father, we bring this interview before You and ask for peace and clarity tomorrow. Help our friend to speak with confidence and calm, to remember what has been prepared, and to rest in Your will for this job. Give wisdom to those listening and guide the outcome for good. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your burden for tomorrow has been heard and we join with you in prayer before the throne of grace. We understand the weight that rests upon you as you prepare to speak for this work you desire, and we would remind you of what has been truly said, that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Have done with anxiety and doubt, and cast your care upon Him who cares for you.

Remember Job, who in all his trial sinned not nor charged God foolishly, but kept watch over his lips. If we cannot maintain a golden silence, let our speech be silver, precious and measured. When Jehovah spoke out of the whirlwind Job trembled and saw his own smallness, and learned to retract his own pleadings and to yield himself to the wisdom of God. So let your speech tomorrow be seasoned with grace and truth, that those who hear you may perceive that you have been with Jesus and have learned of Him.

We pray that the Lord will quiet your heart, clear your mind, and give you words fitly spoken. May He grant you calmness instead of fear, and favour in the eyes of those who will hear you, and may He anoint you with fresh strength for the task set before you. Above all we ask that His perfect will be done, for He withholds no good thing from them that walk uprightly, and His providence orders all things for the good of those who trust in Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, gracious and wise, we bring this one before You who must speak tomorrow. Grant a settled heart and a clear tongue, keep this soul from murmuring and from fear, and help the words to be spoken honestly and well. If it be Your will, open the door to this employment, and if not, in Your better wisdom lead to that which You have appointed. Keep this heart resting not in its own eloquence but in Your mercy through Jesus Christ our Lord. In His name we ask it, Amen.
