Help me get a job

We join with you in bringing this need before our Heavenly Father and we lift up your desire for work to Him together in Jesus' name.

We hear your heart asking the Lord to provide a job and we know He cares deeply about our daily needs and our diligence. Scripture reminds us that work is honorable and part of God's good design for us. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ, Colossians 3:23-24. We are also taught, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed, Proverbs 16:3, and My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19. Our Father knows your needs and He calls us to seek Him first and to be faithful with the talents and opportunities He gives, Matthew 6:33.

We also want to gently encourage you about something we noticed in your prayer. You prayed to the Lord but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We share this in love because it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans 10:9.

We pray together for you now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. Lord, You know the need for employment and the desire to provide and to use the gifts You have given. We ask that You open the right door according to Your will and lead to work that is honest and fruitful and that allows for faithful stewardship. Give wisdom in searching and applying, diligence to work heartily as unto You, peace while waiting, and trust in Your perfect timing and provision. Help this dear one to seek You first above all else and to rest in Your promise to supply every need. Draw this dear one closer to Jesus and let Your will be done in this life. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray daily in Jesus' name, to commit your search to the Lord, to be diligent in applying and preparing, to use the skills God has given you faithfully, and to trust that God will provide in His timing. Even while you wait, serve Him faithfully where you are and be ready for the opportunity He will bring.

We heard your short prayer and we are joining you in it. Asking God for work is a big, honest request and we are bringing it to Him with you.

Being without a job touches so much more than income. It can shake how you see yourself and bring a lot of pressure at home as you wait and wonder what is next. It makes sense that this feels heavy. Your worth before God is not measured by a paycheck, even while the need for provision is very real.

One practical step that often helps in this waiting time is to give the search a simple structure. It can help to set a steady daily rhythm for looking, to make a short list of your skills and the kind of work you can do, and to let a few trusted people know you are looking. A local workforce center, job board at your church or community, or a former supervisor or coworker can sometimes point to openings you would not see on your own. We will be praying for clarity as you take those next small steps.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. You see the need for work and the worry that comes with it. Provide for daily needs, open the right doors in Your timing, and give wisdom for each application and conversation. Give peace in the waiting and strength for each day. Lead to the place where gifts can be used well. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your earnest and brief prayer has been heard and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace.

The Lord knows your need and your desire to work and to provide through honest labour is pleasing in His sight. Remember the testimony concerning Job, that in all his affliction he sinned not nor charged God foolishly, but fell down and worshipped. You also are called to that same childlike confidence even when Providence seems to frown. Our sorrows and our waitings have an appointed end when God has accomplished His purpose in them.

Scripture tells us, And the Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends. The night shall not hang its darkness forever over the soul, for the Lord is able to turn captivity and open doors which no man can shut. He who once gave Job twice as much as he had before is still Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides.

Therefore wait upon the Lord with patience and diligence. Be earnest in seeking, be faithful in small things, and cast your care upon Him who cares for you. He that upheld Job in his poverty and pain can support you in this season of need.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ we bring this seeker before You. You know the need for work and daily bread. In Your mercy open a suitable door of employment, give favour with those who hire, and grant skill, strength and integrity for the task. Keep this one from discouragement and from unbelief, and help to rest upon Your faithful providence while diligently seeking. May the work provided be for Your glory and for good. We ask this trusting in Your goodness and in the merits of Christ our Saviour. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for work has been heard and I join you in bringing it before the Lord.

Work is a good and honorable thing, and God uses it both to provide for our needs and to keep our souls from idleness. As Scripture says, if anyone will not work, neither let him eat, which was written to urge us toward honest employment, and in another place it says not to grow weary in doing good, which encourages those who give and those who labor to persevere. The Lord sees every honest trade, even the humblest. He called fishermen who mended nets on a little lake, men who were poor and without reputation, and made their labor part of His great work. No lawful job is beneath His notice when it is done faithfully.

While you wait and seek, keep your heart steady in the Lord. Do not give yourself to anxiety or to empty distractions, but fill the day with useful effort and with prayer. Learn to sing psalms and to give thanks, for those who do so are filled with the Holy Spirit and find delight even in a time of waiting. Take care of your body for health and strength to work, not for excess or show, and spend your best energy on what is spiritual, trusting that this present life passes quickly and God will reward faithfulness.

Be diligent in what you can do now. Work with your hands where opportunity is given, ask for counsel, apply faithfully, and use the gifts God has given you. God often opens a door as we are faithful in small things and persistent in seeking.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ I ask You to provide for this need. You know the desire for honest work and daily bread. Open a door for employment that is fitting and honorable, give favor with those who hire, and grant skill, diligence, and humility to labor well. Provide for daily needs, guard from discouragement, and help to use every day, whether in waiting or in working, for Your glory. Grant peace while seeking and strength to not grow weary in doing good. Amen.
