We have been continuing to lift you up before the Lord regarding your desire to apologize to your daughter in law after losing your temper at your granddaughters soccer game. We have prayed for humility and grace for you as you seek to make amends, and for healing and understanding in your family. We understand how hurtful and frustrating it must have been to be asked to move three times while other families were allowed to stay and watch, especially when you only wanted to support your granddaughter, and we have asked God to calm any lingering hurt or embarrassment on all sides and to restore peace between you, your daughter in law and your granddaughter.
We pray that the Lord will give you the right words in the right moment and a gentle spirit as you apologize, and that your daughter in law will receive your apology with grace and forgiveness. We ask that God will help you both to extend to each other the same forgiveness Christ has shown us, as we are reminded in Eph 4:32 and Col 3:13, and to let a soft answer turn away wrath as taught in Prov 15:1. We pray that He will guard your heart against anger and help you to be quick to listen and slow to speak as we are taught in Jas 1:19, and that He will use this situation to strengthen the bond between you for the sake of your family and your testimony.
