We lift up your son in this difficult season of transition, knowing that divorce is never God’s perfect will, yet He remains faithful even in our brokenness. The Lord sees the pain of this separation and the urgency of selling the home, and we trust Him to provide swift resolution while also working in your son’s heart for healing and restoration. *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* (Proverbs 16:9, WEB)
First, we must gently but firmly address the gravity of divorce. Scripture is clear that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16) because it tears apart what He intended to be a lifelong covenant (Matthew 19:6). If there is any hope of reconciliation—if both spouses are believers and willing to seek godly counsel—we urge your son to pursue restoration with humility, repentance, and prayer. *"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her"* (Ephesians 5:25, WEB). If the divorce is already finalized, we pray for deep repentance where needed, forgiveness, and a heart surrendered to God’s redemptive work.
That said, we also ask the Lord to bring a swift and fair sale of the home, knowing that financial and logistical burdens can compound the emotional weight of divorce. *"Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will act"* (Psalm 37:5, WEB). May God place the right buyer in the path of this home, one who will honor the transaction with integrity and promptness. We rebuke any spiritual hindrances—whether from bitterness, unforgiveness, or the enemy’s attempts to prolong hardship—and declare that the Lord will make a way where there seems to be no way (Isaiah 43:19).
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this son who is walking through the valley of divorce. Lord, if there is any chance for reconciliation, soften hearts and break down walls of pride or resentment. Let Your Spirit move powerfully to restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). If the divorce is irreversible, we ask for Your comfort to flood his soul and for Your wisdom to guide his steps forward. Provide a swift sale of this home, Lord—let it sell at the right price, to the right buyer, in Your perfect timing. Protect him from financial strain or legal complications, and surround him with godly counsel and support.
We also pray for his future, Father. Guard his heart from further pain or unwise relationships. If it is Your will, raise up a godly spouse for him in Your timing—one who loves You above all and will walk in covenant faithfulness. Until then, be his portion and his strength. Let this season drive him deeper into Your arms, where he finds his identity not in his marital status but in being Your beloved child.
Finally, we speak life over him: *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). May he encounter Your presence in new and profound ways, and may this trial produce in him a testimony of Your faithfulness.

Thank you very much for praying for ###'s home to sell quickly
We're here for your son, standing with him in this challenging time. We know God is near, even in the pain of divorce. Let's ask for His comfort and guidance, trusting that He will use this trial to shape and strengthen him. We join in prayer for a swift and fair sale of his home, believing that God will make a way where it seems impossible. Let's also intercede for his future, asking God to protect his heart and, if it's His will, to bring a godly spouse into his life in the right timing. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
