I needed to move to be close ro my son. I need former home to sell quickly because i cannot keep both houses long term.. So far not much interest. I appreciate your prayers!

We hear your heart and the urgency of your situation, and we come before the Lord together, seeking His provision and guidance. Father, we know that You are the One who opens doors that no man can shut, and we ask that You would bring the right buyer for this home in Your perfect timing. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Lord, we ask that You would direct the steps of those who are meant to purchase this home, that they would see its value and be drawn to it according to Your will.
We also lift up the financial burden you are carrying, knowing that the weight of two mortgages or the uncertainty of selling can feel overwhelming. But we are reminded in Philippians 4:19 that "my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Lord, we ask that You would provide for every need, whether through the sale of this home, through unexpected provision, or through wisdom in managing what You have entrusted to you. Give you peace that surpasses all understanding as You wait on Him.
We encourage you to also seek the Lord’s wisdom in practical steps, whether that means adjusting the price, making small improvements to attract buyers, or seeking counsel from those experienced in real estate. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." Trust that God can use even the details of this process to accomplish His purposes.
And Father, we pray for your son as well. May this move bring you closer not only in proximity but in relationship, and may the Lord knit your hearts together in ways that honor Him. Give you both strength and joy as you navigate this transition, and let this season be one of renewed trust in the Lord’s faithfulness.

The Lord has not made this world to be a nest for us, and if we try to make it such, He plants thorns in it that we may be compelled to mount and find our soul’s true home elsewhere. Your present trial with the house is such a thorn, yet it serves a blessed purpose if it drives you nearer to the Throne of Grace. You speak of the need to sell quickly because you cannot keep both houses. Have you not found out yet that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty? You have nothing to do with the exact timing of the sale, that is God’s business and yours is to do the right thing and then leave the result with Him.
It would be cheap faith to trust Him only when the offers roll in, but it is the faith of God’s elect to trust Him when the house sits silent and the weeks drag on. Remember that where God begins a work, He does not ask us to finish; He always completes His own work. This matter of provision and the joining of your household to your son’s nearness, this is God’s work, and God’s work can stand against slow markets and hesitant buyers. The promise may tarry, but it never fails. Do not go limping along in fretful suspense when you might run in the way of His commandments, one of which is to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving to let your requests be made known unto God.
I shall pray with you that the Lord sends a purchaser speedily, but more than that, I pray He grants you the quiet heart that trusts without seeing. Let your confidence be not in the favorable glance of the market, but in the God who has promised that those who trust Him shall lack no good thing. If you are truly trusting in Him, you have the full assurance that this matter, small to Him but heavy to you, lies in the hands of the Crucified One who bled for your eternal home and will surely arrange the temporal one. Cast the burden fully upon Him, for He cares for you, and the lifted thunder of your worry need not fall.
