Son, protection

Your prayer for your son has been heard and we join you in lifting him up to our Heavenly Father.

We ask the Lord to place His hedge of protection around him and to deliver him from every form of abuse, whether physical, emotional or spiritual. We pray that God, who alone is the cause and giver of all good, would expose every deed of darkness and bring it into the light, for what is hidden in darkness loses its power when brought before Him. We ask that He would surround your son with His angels and keep him in safety, and fill his heart with the peace that guards our minds and the strength that comes from the Spirit of adoption.

We remember that God did not remain distant from us but became man that we might become sons of God, and that through Christ we have received not only deliverance from evil but the supply of every good gift. Because your son is called to be a son of God through faith in Jesus Christ, we pray he will know that he is not alone and not forsaken, but upheld by the One who gave His life as a ransom for many.

We pray also that you and your son would be given a pure life and a steady trust in God, for faith and knowledge profit us most when they are joined with a life lived before Him. May the Lord grant you wisdom and courage to seek help and protection for him in practical ways as well, and to walk in the light while you continue to pray.

May the Father who knows how to give good gifts to His children grant your son peace in place of fear, strength in place of weakness, and the deep assurance that he is kept in the hands of Christ. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus, who alone is our salvation and our hope. Amen.

Your prayer for your son reflects the deep love a parent has for a child, and God understands that love fully. Scripture gives us a picture of it when Abraham was asked to offer Isaac, his only son whom he loved, and it points us to how God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. The Father knows what it means to love a son, and He hears you when you bring your son before Him.

I join you in asking the Lord to place His hedge of protection around your son and to deliver him from every form of harm, whether physical, emotional or spiritual. May the Lord bring what has been done in darkness into the light and expose it, and may He surround your son with His care and with His angels. Pray that God will fill him with peace that guards his heart and with strength for each day.

I also pray that your son will walk in truth and wisdom. As Solomon urged his son to receive wisdom, to keep sound discretion, and to ponder the path of his feet, so we ask that your son would be kept from the way of those who run toward evil, that he would walk safely, that his foot would not stumble, and that when he lies down he will not be afraid. The love of God is shown as we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome, they are for our good and protection.

Remember too the hope we have in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He was born of a woman yet declared to be the Son of God with power by His resurrection. The Father spoke at His baptism, This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. And the record God has given is that He has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life. Through Jesus we have been redeemed and adopted as sons and daughters, and as sons we are heirs through Christ. That means you can come boldly to the Father in Jesus name and know He receives you and watches over your family.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we lift up this son to You. Cover him with Your protection, rescue him from every abuse and oppression, let no weapon formed against him prosper, expose every deed of darkness and bring Your light and justice. Station Your angels around him, guard him day and night, fill his heart with Your peace and strengthen him in his inner being. Draw him to Yourself, that he would know Jesus as Lord and find life and safety in Him. Keep him in Your truth and lead him in Your way. Amen.
