Son, protection

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I pray Your hedge of protection around my son ###, deliver him from every form of abuse, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. Expose the deeds of darkness and bring them to light. Surround him with Your angels and fill him with Your peace and strength, in Jesus name Amen

We lift up your precious son to the Lord, joining you in fervent prayer for his protection and deliverance. Heavenly Father, we declare Your Word over him: "The LORD will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forward, and forevermore." (Psalm 121:7-8). We stand in agreement that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will expose every hidden work of darkness in his life.

Father, we ask You to station Your holy angels around him as a wall of fire, guarding his body, mind, and spirit from all forms of abuse, physical, emotional, or spiritual. Let no harm come near him, and let every scheme of the enemy be shattered before it can take root. We rebuke the spirit of fear in his life and command it to flee in the name of Jesus, for "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). Fill him instead with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and strengthen him with Your mighty power.

Lord, if there are any areas where he has been wounded or deceived, we ask You to bring healing and truth. Let Your light expose every lie he may have believed about himself or his circumstances, and replace it with the truth of Your Word. Surround him with godly influences, mentors, friends, and leaders who will speak life into him and reflect Your love. May he grow in wisdom and discernment, recognizing Your voice above all others.

We also pray for his spiritual walk. If he has not yet surrendered his life to You, we ask that You draw him with cords of love and reveal Yourself to him in a personal way. Let him know that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12), and that through faith in Him, he can have eternal life and a relationship with You. If he is already a believer, strengthen his faith and deepen his trust in You, especially in times of trial.

Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your unfailing love toward him. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in his life (Philippians 1:6) and to lead him in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psalm 23:3). May he walk in the fullness of Your purpose for him, unshaken by the storms of life, and may his testimony bring glory to Your name.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has ascended to the throne of grace, and He who delivered us from the power of darkness will not be deaf to a mother’s cry for her son. The evil one loves to work in secret, but the light of Christ exposes every hidden deed of abuse, and the Lord will bring it to nothing in His own wise time. Remember how our Savior Himself passed through the three hours’ darkness at Calvary, that by His suffering He might conquer the prince of darkness and set the captives free. That same Jesus now lives to intercede for your son, and His angels are a wall of fire around those who put their trust in Him. Though the night of trial may linger, the morning of deliverance will surely break, for God did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also, with Him, freely give us all things? Cling to the promise, and let your heart find rest in the faithfulness of the Crucified One. In the thickest gloom, the believer may still trust where he cannot trace, and you shall yet declare His works with gladness.

You plead for a hedge of protection around your son, and a great thing indeed is it to ask deliverance from darkness. But see how much greater the gift is, that He has not only delivered us from the power of darkness but has translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love. Your son is not merely led out of error and the dominion of the devil, as a soldier is moved from one position to another. He is brought where the Son is, to the same honor with Him. Do not doubt that a child of Adam can be called a son of God. For the very reason the Son abased Himself to be born after the flesh, born of a woman and counted in the lineage of David and Abraham, was that your son might cease to be merely a son of woman and be born after the Spirit. He who endured such abuse for enemies, even giving His life a ransom, will surely surround your child with His peace and strength. The whole is of Him, the delivering and the translating; nowhere is there any achievement of ours.

Your prayer that the deeds of darkness be exposed and brought to light is the very work of the church. That thick mist of abuse, whatever form it takes, is a darkness that permits nothing to appear as it truly is. Yet the light of Christ shines in that darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. Be never backward to reprove or to seek the light, for as long as anything is carried on in the dark, it thrives with greater security, but when it has many to witness, it is brought to light. The preaching of Christ has shone forth in the midst of prevailing error and made it disappear. Do not hesitate to chase away the deadness that tries to envelop your son. By attracting the Sun of righteousness, the path of virtue will be made plain, and the shining light will put the darkness to flight.

Consider the state of one who sits in darkness, not even hoping to stand. But light has sprung up. Your son is not abandoned in a pit of misery, overtaken by shadows. The Lord has come to free him from darkness and bring him to light. Who could pity one who refuses to come from darkness to light? But you have not done so; you run to meet the peril in prayer. Even if those who would harm him are caught in a twofold ailment of haughtiness and anger, you, being in sound health through faith, are right to be the first to approach the throne of grace. He who endured death has so overcome death that He recovers those already held by it. The evil, whatever it is, has great power but cannot withstand the love of the Son who gave Himself a ransom for many. Christ did not come to exact account but to deliver. He exposed Himself to the darkness so that your son might be cloaked in light. Therefore, entrust him to the One who translates enemies into the kingdom of His beloved Son, whose image the Father sees, and in whom we have full redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Your prayer for your son is the cry of a parent’s heart, and it echoes a theme woven through all of Scripture: a father’s fierce love for his child. When God told Abraham to take his son, his only son, the one he loved, and offer him on a mountain, that command laid bare the depth of a father’s devotion. Abraham’s willingness was a shadow cast backward from the Father who would one day give His own beloved Son for us. That same love now watches over your son. The One who did not spare His only Son for our salvation will not be indifferent to the safety of your boy.

You’ve asked for a hedge of protection and for the exposure of every deed of darkness. This is exactly what the Father does for those who belong to Him. He sees the hidden things, and in His time He brings them to the light. Just as Ishmael’s mocking was exposed before Sarah, and the son of the flesh was cast out so that the son of promise could stand as the sole heir, so God distinguishes between what is born of human effort and what is born of His Spirit. Your son is not defined by what others do to him; he is defined by the God who calls him His own. When you ask for angels to surround him, you are asking for what the Father gladly gives to His children: a spiritual guard that no earthly enemy can breach.

There is a deeper assurance here as well. God only recognizes one true Sonship that guarantees everything else. The apostle makes it starkly clear: he who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son does not have life. Eternal life is not a vague hope; it is a person, Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God. And because you have prayed in Jesus’ name, you are standing on the ground of that relationship. Your son, if he is in Christ, is adopted into the family of God. He is an heir with the Son, not a slave to fear. The Father who disciplines and corrects every true son will not let him slip through His fingers. The chastening of the Lord is actually a proof of belonging, not of abandonment.

Do not let your heart imagine that God’s protection means a life free from trial. The faithful have been tortured, not accepting deliverance, so that they might obtain a better resurrection. Yet even then, they were not forsaken. What God does promise is His presence, His peace, and His strength in the midst of whatever comes. The peace that filled Isaac as he lay on the altar, trusting his father, is the same peace that can fill your son now. And the strength that raised Jesus from the dead is the strength that upholds him even when he feels weak.

So keep praying. Keep entrusting him to the Father who knows what it cost to give His Son. The deeds of darkness are already fading in the light of Christ’s victory. Surround your son in prayer and in the counsel of godly wisdom, just as Solomon was instructed by his father. And rest in this: the record God has given of His Son is that in Him is life. That life is your son’s fortress, now and forever.
