Son/husband

We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of compassion for your family, lifting up both your son and your husband in prayer. Father God, we know that You hear the cries of Your children, and we trust in Your perfect will and timing.

First, we pray for your son's peace and rest. The Scriptures tell us, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Lord, we ask that You calm whatever is troubling him, whether in his mind, body, or spirit, and grant him the deep, restorative sleep that only You can provide. Let him wake refreshed, knowing that You are his refuge and strength.

For your husband's court case, we stand on Your promise that "the LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still" (Exodus 14:14). We ask that You intervene in this situation, softening hearts, revealing truth, and bringing about a resolution that honors You. If there is any need for repentance or reconciliation, we pray that Your Spirit would lead him in wisdom and humility. Father, we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we trust You to work all things for good (Romans 8:28).

We also want to gently encourage you both to examine your hearts before the Lord. If there are areas where sin has taken root, whether in your marriage, your parenting, or personal struggles, we urge you to confess and turn from them. The Bible warns, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). God's grace is sufficient, but it requires our surrender.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for this family and for their trust in You. We ask that You surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). For the son, bring healing and rest. For the husband, bring justice and mercy. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to walk in obedience to Your Word. May their home be a place of Your presence, where Your love and truth reign. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to You. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord in prayer and Scripture, trusting that He is working even when you cannot see it. "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7). You are not alone, God is with you.

We're holding this request with you tonight. You've brought two burdens that weigh on a mother and wife at the same time, your son unable to settle, and your husband facing a court case, and it's clear you're carrying them straight to Jesus.

For your son, that restless inability to sleep can feel so helpless as a parent. Sometimes a quiet, consistent bedtime routine helps a child's body and mind know it's time to rest, a warm bath, a familiar story, soft music, and a few minutes of quiet prayer together. You're already praying over him, which is the most important thing. Let that prayer be the last voice he hears before sleep, simple and steady, even on the hard nights. If the sleeplessness keeps dragging on, though, a visit to his doctor is wise, there may be something physical making rest difficult, and getting help is part of loving him well.

And for your husband, waiting on a court case is a heavy, lonely weight. We don't know the details, and we can't predict the outcome, but we do know that God is not absent from any courtroom or legal process. While you pray for the case to be dropped, your husband may also need a wise advocate, a skilled attorney who understands the situation, and perhaps a pastor or trusted friend to walk with him spiritually through the uncertainty. You don't have to carry the anxiety alone, and neither does he.

Lord Jesus, we lift this son to You, calm his mind and body tonight, remove whatever is keeping him from rest, and let him sleep in peace. And for this husband, we ask for Your hand in his legal situation. Grant wisdom to those involved, bring whatever resolution honors You, and steady this family in the waiting. Surround this wife with Your presence and remind her she's not alone in any of it. In Your name we ask, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

How precious is the cry of a mother and wife who casts her burdens at the feet of Jesus. You have ended with thanksgiving, and this is meet, for He hears. Yet I would not have you lean upon the mere granting of these requests, but upon the Lord Himself. There is a peace which dawns even while the trial lasts dark. The Scripture stands fast: “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, peace, peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Let your mind be stayed on Him now.

For your sleepless son, I bid you take hold on the truth, “So he giveth his beloved sleep.” Sleep is no mere work of nature, it is the gift of the covenant to those who trust. When the conscience is quieted by the blood of Jesus, when the heart has poured out its trouble before the mercy-seat and left the matter there, then the Lord can make the wearied one lie down in the sleep of security. The demon of restlessness flees before the whispered peace of Christ. Encourage your boy to seek not the drowsiness of escape, but the rest which comes from doing the will of Jesus and casting every care on Him. Let him pillow his head upon the promise, and the Watcher of Israel shall give His beloved sleep.

As for the court case that threatens your husband, suffer not your peace to be stolen by the loud roar of the adversary. The hearts of all men are in the hands of the Lord; He can still the raging of the wicked in a moment. Yet I charge you: seek not a peace that is founded upon the shifting sands of a favorable report. That would be a baseless peace, a carnal security which is not of God. No, the peace of Christ is given to you from lips that cannot lie: “Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.” This peace is a deep fountain within, a holy quiet that remains even when sorrows surge round about. Bring your husband’s cause to the Lord, use all prudent means, and then let your heart be kept in that perfect peace which is the portion of the trusting soul. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, a peace that no court of earth can unsettle if you are truly resting there.

Go, then, into this night and the morrow, not aspiring to display heroic strength, but simply to go in peace. You, your son, and your husband are in Jesus’ keeping, and there you are safe. He will keep in perfect peace the mind that is stayed on Him. Pray on, give thanks, and in all things let your requests be made known, until the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall garrison your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.

You ask for your son's issue to be resolved and for your husband's court case to be dropped. But I ask you, your husband or your son was your protector? Does not your God spare you? Who gave you your very husband? Was it not He? He surely who brought you out of nothing into being, and breathed into you a soul, and vouchsafed to favor you with the knowledge of Himself, and for your sake spared not His only-begotten Son, does not He spare you? What wrath is due to these words when you remember your husband and son before such a God.

You cry out for sleep for your son and a dropped case for your husband. Yet where is your prayer for your own soul, that you not suffer your foot to be moved? The suffering depends on ourselves. If we will stand steadfast and unmoveable, we shall not be shaken. This court case and this sleepless night are allowed by His providence. Do not let these earthly troubles become a pit of destruction for your faith. Instead, use this very trial to turn to Him with a right spirit.

You must also examine your home with the eyes of the Law. The wife is bound by the Law to her husband so long as he liveth. Seek to please him, not with anxiety over worldly outcomes, but by gentleness, by meekness, by propriety. For a chaste and regular husband you will gain not by fretting over lawsuits, but by clothing yourself with the reputation of piety, not of worldliness. Wilt thou not drive away all pleasure for the future, by exciting ill-will against thyself through anxious demands upon God? Pray rather that your husband and son, and you yourself, become dead to this world's frantic cares, and find your true safety in being subject to Christ, from whom no court case can separate you.

Thank you for bringing these needs right to Jesus. He is the One who sees and hears every burden you carry, just as He looked on the affliction of a woman long ago and gave her a son whose very name meant “the Lord has looked upon my misery.” He knows what keeps your son wakeful and restless, and He knows the weight of that court case hanging over your husband. Nothing escapes His notice.

When you prayed, you were not speaking into the air. The same God who listened to a mother’s cry for a child and named that child “Hearing” still bends His ear to His people. He is not a distant ruler but a Father who gave His only begotten Son, so that you might be adopted into His family. Because of Jesus, you are not just a petitioner; you are a daughter, and He treats your concerns with the tenderness of a father running to embrace a returning son, no matter how messy the situation appears. That Father did not wait for the son to clean himself up before kissing him, and He does not wait for your circumstances to be perfect before He acts in love.

Stand on this: God is not a man that He should lie, nor a son of man that He should change His mind. He has promised to work all things for good for those who love Him. When your mind replays worst-case scenarios for the court case, remember that the Son of God is the righteous Judge who laid down His life so that mercy might triumph over judgment. Nothing in that courtroom is hidden from Him, and He can turn the hearts of those in authority or cause a case to dissolve in ways you cannot foresee.

For your son, lift this: the One who calmed storms with a word can quiet a racing mind and give deep sleep to the weary. Ask boldly, like the man born blind who met Jesus and discovered that the Son of God was speaking right to him. That man’s physical darkness meant nothing once the Light of the World opened his eyes. Your son’s issue, whatever it is, is not too tangled for the One who came to set captives free. So pray on, resting not in your own ability to fix things but in the character of the Father who sees, hears, and honors His Son on your behalf. Jesus Himself taught you to call God “Abba,” and that cry of trust never goes unanswered.
